Nikki blinks, surprised. "Yeah, Oslo. The capital of Norway? Where Vikings come from?"
She grins. "It is also where they make the best metal music. I was sad to leave my band, but things were getting...no longer good."
She sighs. "I wish I could have had the power to make that stupid guy who followed me around and kept breaking into my home forget that I existed. But that is not where my talents lie, I suppose. So I left. He'll never find me here."
She pours herself another drink and sits back, enjoying the antiseptic smell and taste of the Russian vodka.

She nods some and looks to Gand before looking to Nikki. She pulls her personal business card from her cleavage of all places and hands it to Nikki. Alice's sweet perfume lingers on the card, a sultry mix of whitemusk, gardenia and those strange cigarettes she smokes.
"If you need anything, please call me," she says to Nikki. She stands, kissing Gand on the cheek before quietly excusing herself for her office. She'll probably return in a moment.

Nikki takes the card. "Thank you Alice. Wow this smells good!" She smiles as Alice walks away, then turns back to Gand.

'Norway to Georgia. Good call, i dont think even the cia could track that.'

Gand chuckles watching Alice walk away.

'So i take it your a musician?'

"Well, I was vocalist for the band Morituri. I will not be offended if you've never heard of them, we are an acquired taste for most Americans." She grins.

"I am thinking, I could get a new band here, start playing little clubs again. Any clubs here that have metal shows?"

Nikki, wondering what it was exactly that so drew her to this place, a draw stronger still than an average place of its type, which she does enjoy frequenting. She begins to Watch the Weaving. ((2008-07-03 17:39:22 Nikki rolls 3 dice to Arete (Prime 1, coinc) (Diff 4) 9,3,2 (1 success)))
"Ahh," she says quietly, seeing and feeling the strength of the Node in the White Rabbit, "so that's why I wanted to come here."

She returns after a bit and has a seat back at the table. She smiles to the both of them.

Nikki nods and smiles in greeting at Alice. She sits back, savoring the vodka, watching Gand to see if he knows what she was just talking about, to see if he heard her.

Gand nods and smiles knowingly.

'Thats why all the new faces end up here, actually.'

"Hmm..." Nikki thinks for a bit. How to put this...She thinks Gand might be another Awakened, but if Alice isn't, she doesn't want to give anything away. "Lots of...er...new faces around here, then?"

'Not lately.'

Gand says, slowly pouring drinks again.

'Seems most of the people who can truly appreciate this place are leaving town or hiding out. You picked quite a time to come hide out here Nikki...'

Nikki raises an eyebrow. "What do you mean by that? Leaving town or hiding out...Danger?"

Gand nods.

'There was a dozen or more of us about a month ago. I think counting you puts our population back up to maybe 6.'

Gand glances around at the patrons, everyone seems fully distracted by the girls bending themselves into pretzels or working a pole in ways that require lubed skin...

'Not only can we all not seem to get along, but the city is crawling with MiB Gestappo...'

"Ah, fuck." Nikki frowns. "Techies. Great."
She takes another shot of vodka. "Well, looks like I might have come to the right place after all. Is this is war, you're gonna need...medics. Yeah. And that's what I do, when I'm not being awesome on stage."

'So your a metalhead slash healer?...' Gand grins.

'Now ive seen it all...'

Jokes aside he is glad she didnt just up and run for the nearest bus out of town. Sad to say it but he needs her as much as any of the other awakened in the city.

'You should talk with Orphen, he runs a club called the Neon Burn. Its usually all pumping bass and flashing neon but he does hire bands now and then to change things up.'

"Ah, sounds good, I'll have to check it out." She flashes a grin at Gand. "We might do things a little differently in the Northern lands, but blood is still blood, eh Gand?"

"Oh, by the way, is there anyone in particular I should talk to at this Neon Burn place? And are they, say, Awake?" You can almost hear her capitalize that last word.

She raises a brow and smirks at the allusions in the converstaion. She laughs softly.

Gand nods to both of Nikki's questions.

'Orphen runs the joint, and yes, hes very awake.'

Gand winks at Alice, she has probably seen this little dance of euphmisms and allusions more than most of the awakened in the city.

'Oh his buddy Xian is head of security there. Hes a short, violent little weirdo with a blue hat. Hes awake too...'

"Good, good. Well, Gand, Alice, thank you for your friendliness and for the vodka." She gets up and extends her hand to each of them in turn. "I will certainly be back. It's a wonderful club."
She starts to walk away, stops, and turns back. She goes back to the table, bends down and writes a phone number on a napkin, then her name with a little demon tail extending down from the final 'i'.
"If you need me, or think you will. Or just want to chat over vodka. I'll be around." She smiles, gives the dancing girls one last look, and walks out of the White Rabbit.
