Daniel will spend the next half hour wandering the streets heading towards the center of Sanfield.  Avoiding the myriad Agent patrols is no easy task (2008-07-03 14:56:44 Danel rolls 7 dice to Perc + Alert (avoid MiBs) (used willpower) 3,5,9,4,8, 6,8 (5 successes)) but for one difficult to follow it becomes vaguely manageable, and in every case he comes across he easily notices them before they notice him.

The area is crawling with Agents, Police, and that feeling, like one is being watched.....or stalked.....permeates the area.

Daniel will find his way to the main drag of Sanfield, he inadvertently tries to avoid any direct line of sight to that horrid tower that looms over this poor city.  The tower where undoubtedly Blue is being tortured, or worse.

Wandering down one of the streets he spots it across the way...The White Rabbit....the place mentioned by Pelayo...and more importantly the Node.

Muttering to himself...

"Well, it's a trap, or it's a place to sit down for a while, lets go find out which."

Upon approaching the two massive body guards, and fully expecting to be man-handled and searched, one simply nods to him while the other opens the door.  

"I'm expected???"

The doormen simply look down at him expressionless.

Upon entering the room he notices the girls, the dark and warm tables and booths.  There is a boistrous slavic sounding girl in one of the booths with another man and woman, and the bartender deftly serves up drinks before the patrons can ask for them.

Daniel will take a seat at the bar in full view of the front door.  

"Seven and Seven please" he will comment to the bartender...Rachel....as she walks by.  And he will try to relax...

From his office upstairs Gand focuses a camera on Daniel. He was expected and watched as soon as he came into the parkinglot. Gand recognizes him as the man who escaped when Blue was captured and Yin was... dissapeared.

Strange how he kind of forgot about this third mage until now...

Regardless he leaves his office and heads downstairs to the main floor of the club.

As Rachel serves Daniel his seven and seven Gand will wander up and take an empty seat next to him at the bar.  

Daniel will mutter silently as he blinks once to open his eyes upon a different scene.  (2008-07-04 15:24:25 daniel rolls 3 dice to arete 6,8,4 (2 successes) - Reveal the Enlightened, Prime 2)) and looks sidelong at this man.  Whoever he is, his avatar shines a brilliant blue against the background of the pale and dim blue glows from the sleepers in the room.

Daniel will glance around the room to notice any other enlightened people in the room (i'll leave that up to You RJ) before turning to the well dressed gentleman at his side.

"So this really is the place for our kind to come and "recharge" isn't it?"

Aside from Gand there isnt a single other awakened in the room.

He chuckles as Daniel cuts out all the usual foreplay of identifying eachother.

'Yeah this is the place. I dont think we've met. Im Gand, i own this place..'  

"I figured that might be the case, at least that you were the man known as Gand.  It's not the first time i've heard that name, you should know you're probably not the most popular of people out there right now."

Daniel wil drink his drink, somewhat lost in the pattern of ice cubes and liquid in the glass.

Somberly...
".....so did you know Blue?"

Gand just shrugs. Hes rarely very popular but it doesnt matter. He has the node so he has the power. He can basically do as he pleases and the others always tread lightly around him just to be let back inside...

'Yeah me and Blue went way back. Its a realy tragedy hes no longer with us...'

"You see, thats the thing.  If these are the same Tek's I know, they rarely kill their captives so quickly.  I've heard horror stories of them experimenting on us, finding better ways to...sterilize us."

Looking over at Gand...

"Has anyone come out of that....thing?"

Gand reflexively picks up and sips a drink Rachel slid to him. He shakes his head to Daniel.

'Just Rahshid. He built the friggen cells that are holding Blue and David and maybe even Harmony...'

Another sip and he turns to Daniel again.

'Ive known Blue for years. And if anyone could get out of that thing it would be him... But its been a month, and noones seen or heard anything. Hes not exactly a willing captive, i wouldnt be suprised if he was judge too much of a security risk...'

"That may be true....however...

If he is still alive and kicking, There's a small chance i could greatly improve his odds, but I may need some help finding him.  I'm afraid I'm not as versed in that particular area as some.

...and it would require the resources this place can provide."

Daniel looks directly at Gand

"Would you be willing to help me try?"

Gand nods.

'Ill help, I owe Blue anyway.'

Gand finishes off his drink and pushes it to the edge of the bar for Rachel to take away.

'What do you have in mind?'

"Undoubetdly he's been sleep deprived, tortured, beaten...and i'd be willing to bet his.....Reserves...are running a bit low.  

What would you say if I told you I think i could, at the very least, transfer some energy to him, without actually being with him.

I'm afriad though to make this less than impossible i'm going to need an Awakened with the knowledge and awareness of space and likely of mind.  This will be a risk, but i think it's possible, and if we are incredibly lucky, we may find a weakness in Their armor...."

'Or speed up the inevitable.'

Gand comments.. he narrows his eyes, thinking.

'Ill call Orphen, he can be our third and round out this little equation.'

"I will need a place to prepare, if you know where the source of your node is, some place close to it would work best.

I probably don't need to tell you this, but this is a tremendous risk...but I owe Blue my life, I can't help but try."

'We should be relatively secure here. If i havent been raided yet i must be doing something right.'

Gand stands and motions for Daniel to follow him. They will go behind the bar and into the basement.

Way in the back of the basement, past racks and racks of booze is an old looking distiller. Whatever its creating is a green liquid dripping into small bottles.

The patterns here are vivid. tass is collected in the liquid and the Nodes energy leaks through from this area. This is ground zero.

"Thank you Gand, I'd recommend that if you need anything for a "procedure" like this that you get it now, and let Orphen know as well."

Daniel will find a blank spot on the wall and sit down on the floor with his back to it and begin praying...
2008-07-06 21:55:36 Daniel rolls 4 dice to Arete (Diff 4) 2,6,4,9 (3 successes) - Middle Pillar).

The effect is almost immediately noticable, whether it's the proximity to the node, or a power that Daniel has yet to show, anyone looking at his pattern would see a brilliant white image, pulsing with energy.

He will prepare, re-solidifying his own pattern into the Tellurian, re-inforcing the reality around him and in this area, pumping prime into the patterns around him to make for a "stable platform" for their attempt.

(I dont think we need to. Its just Npcs and maybe one more character coming. We can stay here.)

Gand will leave Daniel to do his thing. Gand has a very different approach to magic. He calls Orphen and explains things to him, Orphen as usual, agrees to help and will be right over.

Gand collects a few things from his office, Tells Alice and Rachel noone is to enter the basement under any circumstances until he comes back up and will await Orphen...

When Gand returns Daniel will look up from his place on the wall, eyes seemingly crackling with new-found energy..

"I need to ask you this now, but if by His will we have an opportunity to do more than help Blue, do You want to take it?"

Daniel is far more serious than any have seen thus far, this is a monumental undertaking, and they need to know what to do if something should....happen.

'If we have any chance of causing damage ill be all over it. Odds are im soon to be target number one in this city so im all for doing whatever we can...'

Gand, with his own interests at hand is all about action. He lost his suitcoat somewhere, ditched the tie. He undoes a few buttons on his shirt and sets down the things hes carrying.

A black box with an odd carving on the top and a few mirrors.

Behind him, coming down the stairs are two more people. Orphen, in his usual rave gear and blue hair as well as a 4th helper. Sean the dreamspeaker with his perpetual hippie grin.

Daniel will raise an eyebrow at Gand, and then eye the two new comers coming down the stairs.

Those coming into the area once more will notice that it feels, for lack of a better word, very real.  The patterns here are vivid, and very solid, reality is not in flux here aside from the abundant quintessence flowing from behind the walls of the basement.

On the floor in front of Daniel is a sigil drawn in what looks like blood, as well as a number of vials of incensed oils.  The silver cross of his order hangs visibly around his neck.

Sean follows orphen down the stairs seeing Gand and Daniel seems to make him even happier, He wraps his arms around daniel saying "Nice to meet, nice to meet you." He then turns to gand and wraps his arms around him also, "Good to see you again my friend!" He then returns to his spot next to orphen with his big smile on his face.
