Kovacs may not be too familiar with nodes, or at least not with Gands node. This place is heavily warded and before he can even apply paint to the pristine surface of the club he will hear a loud male voice from behind him.

As Kovacs runs out the other end of the alley he will all of a sudden notice a rather odd looking man leaning on a very ornate looking ivory staff.  He's wearing a kilt of all things, along with heavy combat boots and an old t-shirt from some forgotten local band.  On his head sits Seamus's customary drivers cap...

"Whoooah now little fella, why don't you just stop and tell us why you feel the burning desire paint up my dear friends establishment?"

The little bastard is quick. Gand takes off running after him though, even as Seamus cuts him off, Gand will round the alleyway a little ways behind Kovacs. If Kovacs looked like anyone other than just some kid, Gand would probably be shooting for kneecaps right about now.

The boy seems totally freaked out.His eyes are huge under his big hood and looks like a cornered rat. His eyes cast around for anything that could get him out of the alley. He slides the paint can back out of his pocket and begins moving to put his back to a wall..." I have to go...I am sorry... I need to find.... nevermind I have to go...."

Kovacs astute eyes will tell him he is quite trapped. The outer walls of the White Rabbit are a smooth stone and the building is tall. The adjascent buildings fire escape hovers at about 12 feet off the ground- Kovacs short stature will play against him in getting to that. His best and simoltaniusly worst option looks like a sewer grate that may or not be welded shut.

He could always attempt to dodge around Seamus, but hte oddly dressed man is holding a staff that looks like it could deliver quite a blow and the man who chased him up the alleyway has the bloodshot eyes of a crack addict and the disheveled suit of a delerious bum.

'Hey chill out and put away the damn paint. We wont beat your ass if you dont spray up my club.'

The suited man shouts at Kovacs, obviously not used to or good at dealing teenage derelicts.

Kovacs takes a run at the fire escape. Small kid or not he tries to do his best to make the leap trying to "run up the wall" and get to the fire escape.

After taking a run up the wall he seems to get a moment of traction before falling back to earth. his spray can would slide away from him and he would just curl into fetal position as if prepared for death.

Sobs would escape from the curled form. " I am sorry...so sorry...she told me I needed to meet people... I needed roots...I have been lost for so long..."

Seamus will approach holding the staff at his side and will stay just out of arms reach of this crying teenager.

Poking him once with his staff he seems satisfied enough that he at least feels human...

"Oi, enough with the sobs, You go and tag a building and get caught, then expect us to feel sorry for you, sorry mate, I'm not that nice, you're just lucky you still have kneecaps.  As I said before, why did you feel the need to paint up my friends establishment?"

A backpack rest on the ground near where he was trying to paint.

Whetehr from the run or just to keep himself from punching the prone punk Gand will keep his distance and light up an odd orange colored cigarette. Theres something strange about this kid and as Gands vision shifts he sees exactly what it is. The kids aura sparkles with awakened magic and Gand blows smoke from his nose like an angry bull before looking up to Seamus.

'Fuckin hell. The kids awake.'

Seamus should get the message. Gand does not look pleased, hes never seen an awakened mage so young...

"Wait...what?!"

"The brat's only what, 13, no he can't be..."

Seamus will look as if he's checking his little black phonebrick for something...

"Shit, I've never seen a kid so young awake. Might explain why he picked the rabbit though.  What the hell is the world coming to.  Oi kid, who'd you train with?"

At the next few pokes he would scramble back toward the wall..crouching with his back pressed against it tears streak down his dirty face and his eyes jump from the two of them to his bag, and finally to his spray can.

"Train...what do you mean train. They came in and killed my mom and my sister and my dad an Niko told me to run... I have been running ever since. Its just been me and Niko these last two years."

Gand holds out his hands, non-theateningly. For a second he wishes Alice was here, she was always much better with kids than he ever wanted to be. With the dangling orange cigarette in his lips Gand begins questioning the kid.

'Look your not making any sense. Slow down and start over. Who are you and where are you from?'

Still pressed against the wall tensed for an attack he would take a few deep breaths and look like he is listening to someone.

She told me to run...and that is what I have been doing since... a couple days ago she decided we needed to form... ummm roots or something...says we are going to die on our own..." he trails off and watches the others as he feels around for something in the pocket of his pants..
