As night starts to fall on the city Kovacs would slip out of a nearby alley way. His clothing look brand new and his skin and hair scrubbed clean. He carries a new backpack that seems less loaded with stuff tonight.

He would cross to the front of the club.Hesitate for a few moments since he is not sure how he should contact Gand. Then he would walk to the front door and the inevitable bouncer there.

" I was told to speak with Gand."

He would hold himself straight backed and proud. Feeling less like street scum by the minute.

Bouncers. The two men are huge, intimidating and probably armed. The one with a clipboard looks down at Kovacs and nods.

'Yes sir, Gand said to direct you to the back door. We will notify him of your arrival.'

The mans voice is deep, but polite as he directs Kovacs. It just wouldnt do to have someone his age wandering across the club floor.

Kovacs would make his way around to the back door near where he was at last night. He would pause long enough to take a couple tokes and align his perceptions for this meeting with Gand while hiding between a couple dumpsters.

After this he would pull  himself together straightening his new cloths and making sure he looks good for this meeting. He would then walk over to the back door and knock gently not trying to be rude. Obviously he knocks loud enough to be heard over whatever music is being played in the club. He would look around after he does this his paranoia kick in.

The back door opens revealing a set of dark stairs. Gand wont invite Kovacs inside, but instead joins him outside, in the alleyway. Gand wears a fine grey suit with a slightly wrinkled white shirt and an open collar. He always seems to lose his ties within an hour of getting here.

Gands nostrils flare as he steps into the night air and smells all the weed clinging to Kovacs. Its a great first impression to show up to a job baked out of your mind. Gands face sours but he doesnt say anything. He himself is useless without three cups of coffee and two rails of coke each morning.

'Ive got a real easy job for you. I want you to deliver a package to an address in the burbs. If you open it, lose it, or run off with it... well, use your imagination. Im not a nice man when people fuck with me.'

He would look around the alley again and take the package with a sense of reverence.

" I assure you the package will get to where you need it to go. Just give me the address and I will go about proving my worth with actions and not words. Would you like some collateral to insure I have to be on the up and up I understand a hesitance to trust a street kid."

He would wait at the door smoothing his cloths after stashing the package inside his backpack.

"Do I need to bring anything back with me...." he is obviously nervous about asking such a straight forward question about the nature of the package.

The box isnt too big, probably an 8x8x8 square. It weighs around two pounds and nothing rattles when Kovacs packs it away. Gand will shrug for a second.

'If the recipitent gives you anything please bring it back. But I dont think that will be the case.'

Gand doesnt ask for any collateral. The box could be stuffed with cat litter for all Kovacs knows. Gand writes out an address in the suburbs and hands it over to Kovacs.

'Theres a buzzer back here that rings in my office. Make sure this gets over there tonight.'

Gand points out as if to say: stop bugging my bouncers.

Taking the address he would nod to each of the instructions. " this will be back as soon as I can. Thanks for pointing out the buzzer I was kind of worried about going to the front of the club anyway."

He would start back down the alley having already looked at the address he is already plotting his route to the location. He moves smoothly and assured of his actions and job.

Out on the street he will find a cab and give it the address paying with the last of his money that Gand gave him last night.
