Getting off the bus the dirty street kid would stop to readjust his couple of packages and his backpack. He would stop to look around the area taking in the small and shoddy hotel. Under the vacancy sign is another sign that says help wanted.. he may already have a job but you can never have enough if he got this one and the one for Gand took to much of his time he could always just bail on this place. Readjusting his bags again he would trudge over to the main office and push his way inside setting his bags down by the front desk and wait to be helped.

" I would like a room for the night."

Inside the office sits an acne scarred man with greasy hair. He watches something on a small black and white TV set on the desk. He glances at Kovacs and turns a sign around on the desk: 'Cash only'.

'That'll be seventy dollars.'

The man says through cracked, yellowed teeth.

'Checkout is at 10am.'

Kovacs wont be given anything to sign. He can be sure this is an under the table deal due to his age. When he lays down the cash he will be slid a battered key on a faded plastic ring that reads: '3'.

Wordlessly Kovacs would take the key and begin picking up all of his bags. Once he is inside room three the will first and foremost lock and block the door as best he can with whatever is inside this place. Once he has figured out just how much of a shit hole this place is he he will realize that it is better then the streets and strip down throwing the over sized dirty clothes directly into the trash. At this he will get in the shower and scrub himself clean trying to get as much as he can off in the few minutes of hot water this place has. Once done he will go through his notebooks and maps of the city and add some more notes to what he has found in the last couple hours. Once this is done he will smoke a couple of hitters and pace out in a bed which as shitty as the hotel is a bed is a treat he hasn't had in a long time.
