If Gands strip club were the dominant left ventricle of the heart of this city, the Neon Burn would be the not as impressive right. It bears checking out, simply because i dont think Leonard really wants to be taked with finding every last awakened individual in the city on his own.

The white Lincoln that dropped me off out front will leave as soon as im inside. (Leonard feel free to arrive with me if youd like) Raver isnt my usual style, but i dress to blend in. Stopping just short of neon embossed whore, it wouldnt do to fit in that well... I have impressions to make after all.

I slip easily through the chaos of the crowd, drawn as always to the calm center. In this case the neon bar, with its blue haired tender.

Aurora will spot Seamus around the bar talking to the blue haired bartender before he leaves and comes to serve Aurora a drink.

Seamus will look somewhat....tech-raver'ish.  A "bluetooth" earbud with a number of lights on it while mashing on something that would easily pass as an iphone for the casual observer.  He's wearing some vintage band t-shirt, and slightly baggy jeans and boots.  Atop his head rests a plaid drivers cap.

He eyes this woman briefly before going back to mashing buttons on his phonebrick, and letting Orphen get back to his job.  

Seamus is drinking a whiskey sour.

Orphen will slip over to take Auroras order. Hes wary of new faces after Kara came in and asked about a dead man... and he and Sean had to get real gay real fast to get rid of her.

Shock Treatment, always a good choice. Assuming you can hold your 150 proof grain alchohol and enjoy Hypnotic. The drink is like a thick slushy, with so much alchohol it usually numbs your tongue within three sips.

Orphen serves it up and slips away to grab the phone. Hes short on limes yet again and has a theory as to why...

'Cmon Nikki answer the damn phone you skinny legged bitch...'

Finding people like me is easy. They stand out in the patterns whether they really want to or not. I raise the blue slush to my lips take a numbing sip.  

I roll something back and forth in my left hand. Like a magician would play with a coin, rolling it across her knuckles. But i play with a black six sided die. I concentrate a moment and release a chill pulse into the room around me. Noone but teh awakened are likely to feel it, as the slight wave washes over Seamus and Orphen my die comes to rest on a number: 2.

Orphen and Seamus can roll Per+awareness to feel the effect.

Being on foot all the time makes it fairly difficult to be on time.  With no luck at the Commons, Leonard heads to the Neon Burn to meet up with Aurora.  It wasn't really his scene.  Loud oppresive music, flashing lights, treny clothing; that kind of stuff really wasn't the kind of things he liked.  He would enter the burn silently, with his sax out and slung over his back, ready to play at a moment's notice...or at his employer's command.

He looks the room over once before heading over to Aurora, plain faced and sober. If there was someone watching the room, someone sober and with a keen mind, Leonard would be standing out like a sore thumb.  Getting to the bar, he stands near his employer, giving her a slight knowing nod, but with a look of disappoint ment on his face as if he were to tell her something terrible, such as the two men who did not show as she predicted.

Slicker than grease Orphen turns his back to Aurora but can clearly see her in the bottles reflections. As Nikkis phone rings and rings he covers the reciever and turns his head to Seamus.

'Hey man where the hells Remote these days?'

I pick them out instantly. They are like stars on a grey backdrop. My eyes flick from Seamus to Orphen and come to rest on Leonard as he takes the seat at my side.

Hes not one for words, but we have an understanding. I roll my eyes at him, as if to say i knew all along we would not become four strong tonight. A more direct approach to our new friends might be warranted. Direct as say; a bikini and a 12-guage.

I pick up a coaster and set it in front of Leonard, a sure signal to Orphen that my friend would like a drink, and quickly. I speak quietly, turning my head away from the two unknown mages to tell Leonard.

'We are on even ground with the locals. One is three seats down and the other is our bartender.'

I give Leonard a tiny smile and pick up my drink again, sipping at the numbing blue slush.

He nods, looking directly at both men she pointed out.  He doesn't hide himself, it wouldn't matter much even if he did, they would know soon enough. It would be too loud for him to start playing immediately, and it would certainly give him away pretty quick.  Talking is the only option here, which was Aruora's field, not his.

Nikki walks in, juggling a couple of limes and carrying a definitely limey smelling backpack.
She strolls up to the bar, puts down the two limes, then the backpack, which she opens, revealing...lots of limes. Really, lots of limes.
She spots Orphen and winks at him. "Got your weekly shipment, my man. Now gimme some vodka." She grins. "Oh yeah, please."

Seamus will glance over at the guy staring very intently at him.  This guy kind of gives him the shivers but this isn't the first run about that Seamus has had with the creepy people.  And with Mr. Creepy, and his guest Blondie, well....they still made him uncomfortable.

Seamus will raise his eyebrow to the chick with the limes.

"So what the hell'd you do?  Bolt and then go rob a produce section"

Seamus will grin a genuine grin, not actually chastising but more poking fun.  He had learned from Xian that she was ok and that was good by him.

Seamus will turn from the creepy guy at the bar to the stoic blonde woman...

"So Miss Blond and beautiful, what brings you out to the burn tonight?"

Nikki jumps in surprise when Seamus addresses her from so close, she totally hadn't noticed him. It takes her a second to remember he's one of the good guys, then she winks back at him.
"Actually, yes. I find the looting of fruit quite soothing," she says before turning back to Orphen.

Orphen hangs up the phone and snags one of the bottles of chilled vodka he keeps around for Nikki. He will plop it on the bar with a short glass, no ice.

'Someday your liver is going to declare independence blondie...'

He gives a shifty glance over at Aurora and Leonard, leaning in to discreetly whisper to Nikki that something might be up.

Yes, that was my attempt at a disarming joke. Maybe i am a little on edge. I twirl a finger over the top of my slushy glass and look over both Seamus and Nikki.

Seamus eyes will briefly narrow at the mention of Gand.  Those who don't need to know him likely don't, it's funny like that, and those that know him by name, well, they typically are ones to be wary off, especially strangers within the boundaries of the small town of Sanfield.

Seamus will throw a quick eye at Orphen keeping that charming smile of his.

Pause, Misdirect, Play dumb. Seamus betrays his lies easily to my practiced eyes. Someone in my position really only has two things to go on. How well you can read people, and how easily you can put them in the ground. I just shake my head at Seamus as he tries to divert the conversation away from Gand.

'You misunderstand me. Ive known Gand for years and based on his apparent position here if you dont know him, you are not worth the words it would take to explain why you should.'

I glance at Leonard again, i can sense his uneasyness. This isnt his style of doing things at all. I will knock a drink menu into his lap insistantly, and turn my attention back to Seamus.

'Now, lets try this again. You know Gand, my husband, My name is Aurora; whats yours?'

Sipping on her ice cold vodka, Nikki sighs with contentment. "Ah Orphen, you know just how to make a girl happy. Well, an alcoholic girl, but hey."

She relaxes on her barstool, looking around at the population of the bar, without focusing on anyone in particular. Things haven't seemed to get ugly yet, though it looks like the blonde woman is putting that flirt Seamus in his place.
