The news comes up with the greying news anchor sitting alone. He looks weary and tired. He has been running the show by himself all day, as Blondie is at the big production party and the colorful asian is on suspension for his outbursts last week.

'Welcome. A medical tragedy in the city tonight leaves the hospitals blood supply next to non-existant. Vandals broke into the bloodbank late last night and nearly the entire supply of blood was compromised. It will take weeks for the supply to recover...'

The screen jumps to a few pictures of the torn blood bags scattered, smears on the walls and a few very distraught looking hospital employees.

The anchor shuffles papers and clears his throat.

'The body of a local college student was found early this morning in a dumpster not far from Winter Ave. Tyler "T-Money" Johnson was an accounting major and an amateur rap artist. He died of an apparent drug overdose.'

They show a picture of T-Money, who will of course be recognized by Collio, Kara Miya and Tommy Jones.

'The hush hush construction project that now dominates our skyline was completed earlier today. The building officially opens for buisness tommoro morning. The government research firm will bring lots of great jobs back to our city...'

The anchor gives an odd look to someone off camera.. probably whoevers working the teleprompter while they flash a few glamour shots of the completed monolith, and smiling, happy, suited emplyees shaking hands in front of its main door...

They cut to commercials. Some strange Comcast internet things involving beavers with big teeth and cavemen with sticks... some adds for new TV shows to start this spring, and of course: another teaser for the upcoming Haunted New England show being filmed right now in the city.

The news comes back with a special report flashing on the screen. The anchor is suddenly animated:

'This just in ,we have just received word of a shooting in the downtown area. Two men and one woman were gunned down in front of Jay's Bar on elm street. No word yet on the status of the victims or descrïptions of the gunman... no, Gunmen. More on this story as it develops...'

He calms down a bit and takes a sip of water quickly making it very obvious this is a live feed...

'There is a report of a mass grave found at the old Airfield in the mountains. Authorities were investigating a small fire that broke out near whats left of the control tower when they discovered the bodies of at least twelve people mixed in with the ashes... two have been identified as missing cheerleaders from a neighboring town. The rest are pending identification... Police will not speculate whether this is the work of a mass murderer or perhaps a cult activity, more on this story as it unfolds...'
