There has been advertising all day for tonights news. A special report of: ' Is there a serial killer in Sanfield?'

The news opens tonight to both Blondie and the greying, tired man. Blondie begins...

'Welcome, an explosion rocked our fair city yesterday night was caused by pockets of gas deep in the mines. Authorities believe these pockets ignited and exploded after local vandals decided to test out some homemade explosives. The tunnels are entirely collapsed and there is no word yet of any casualties.'

The Greying man straightens his tie and chimes in:

'The USGS says there is little danger of any more aftershock explosions. Given the magnitude of the first it was likely all the trapped gas was in effect, used up. We would like to warn viewers that if by chance they find a mineshaft not collapsed by the blast.. Do Not Enter It. The entire system would have been weakened and will eventually cave in. '

The camera focuses on blondie and her lowcut shirt while she gives an update to the amber alert.

'After two days of intense searching there is still no sign of the abducted girl or the suspect in her dissapearance. Volunteers and officials have not given up hope and are expanding their search to the inner city as well as outlying towns.'

They show another picture of the girl and the suspect, asking anyone with information to call the anonymous tipline...

The commercials tonight are bland... Only one will stand out, and even then mainly to the cities awakened, and carrying a hidden message...

A man in an expensive suit stands in front of the Monolith. To sleeping eyes the man is inviting people to tour the new building as it is a 'Marvel of technological wonder'.

To the awakened.. the message is much more dire. The mans face is half machine and he grins like a metal demon. He demands surrender, and says he will wait 48 hours for the reality deviants to turn themselves in, or they will be taken by force...

The special report about a new serial killer in sanfield is mostly speculation. But like most special reports done by news stations it will be a total fear mongering piece of crap.

There has been a body found every night. All the victims have been young, attractive women and all were brutally assaulted and killed before being dumped in obvious places.

The police have no suspects, no comment, and you can bet your last dollar every neighborhood watch, church group, and parents comitee will be going wild.

People are advised to never walk alone after dark and their is a curfew in effect for anyone under 21 years of age.
