Immaculate Transfiguration

Some decisions are too important to leave to anyone else. No one, no matter how close they are to you, thinks just like you or knows your innermost wishes. That is why your most intimate wishes should not be left to anyone else.

Despite the diversity in today's modern age, our choices may leave us feeling limited or incomplete. We yearn for something more, something which we feel comfortable with, something that appeals to our sense of care and lasting peace of mind, and with which we may feel secure. The finest must be made permanent, enduring, and timeless. It must have qualities of beauty, care, love, integrity, and protection. It must leave us feeling pleased and content with the choices we have made.

Mummification has always been held in the highest esteem by society. It was common among early cultures, most notably for religious reasons. With the onset of the Dark Ages and the plagues, the art of Mummification began to diminish until finally, this form of care ceased. To this day, we find ourselves attracted to the role Mummification has played throughout history and the significance it has carried throughout time. It touches something deep within our esoteric being. History shows us what great concern Mummification expressed in the final care of one of nature's most beautiful creations: the human being.
Once again, Mummification is available. A very thorough, detailed, yet gentle process that allows one to be memorialized for eternity, Mummification is the only form of Permanent Preservation. The rites of Mummification allow you to leave this life in as beautiful a manner as possible.

Immaculate Transfiguration has amassed generations of in depth research, experience, and knowledge in realms of both science and esoterica resulting in Modern Mummification: a synthesis of medical technology, modern chemistry, and magnificent art. Still, the Immaculate Transfiguration process of Mummification includes traditional wrappings in fine linen (embroidered, representing your personal philosophy or religion).

The Sarcophagus creates the final, protective layer for your mummified body, and it plays an integral part in the rites of the Mummification process. The Sarcophagus may be thought of as a three-dimensional, art piece casket.

Gifted artisans design each Sarcophagus to exact specifications. The Sarcophagus and "life mask", cast from pure gold, can be designed to incorporate the symbology of any religious or philosophical belief that you may hold. Everything is created in exact accordance with your wishes, as set forth in your pre-need arrangement.

The Sarcophagus is first sculpted in clay. A mold is taken and finally, the Sarcophagus is cast in 1/4 inch bronze or stainless steel. The surface of the Sarcophagus may be left as a polished surface, or intricately inscribed with text. It may be inlaid with gold, ceramics, or jewels. Your indelible effigy is hermetically sealed by Immaculate Transfiguration within a capsule Sarcophagus of 1/4 inch bronze. The capsule Sarcophagus is then placed inside the casket.

The resting place of your Sarcophagus or casket is important. Immaculate Transfiguration recommends you be enshrined in a sanctuary/mausoleum or cemetery space that will prevent freezing and not get too warm. This may be accomplished with existing sanctuaries/mausoleums in memorial parks and cemeteries. A suitable sanctuary/mausoleum should not allow the inside temperature to drop below freezing or rise above 72° F (22° C), i.e. an underground sanctuary/mausoleum or a heated/cooled mausoleum.

The rites of Mummification are something we would offer free of charge if we could. However, because of the very elaborate, detailed, thorough, and lengthy process, we incur extensive costs, and the expense is something we cannot afford. Therefore, we suggest a donation so that we can make this tradition available to you.

Mummification costs are integrated into at-need or pre-need arrangements. The current costs for Mummification services are $67,000* within the continental United States. You have the option of choosing an artistic Sarcophagus, or a capsule Sarcophagus along with a full couch burial casket. Artistic Sarcophagus vary widely in cost, from tens of thousands of dollars to well over a hundred thousand dollars depending on how elaborate it is.

Pre-need planning is highly recommended. By enrolling in pre-need services with your local funeral home, you can rest assured that your loved ones will not be burdened with either the need to make plans or to handle a bill. Advanced planning is economical and makes sense.

Our suggestion is that you make pre-need arrangements with a funeral home of your choice for funeral services and arrange your donation for Mummification through a life insurance policy. A life insurance policy can be arranged whereby you make easy monthly payments.

Overview of Your Care

The following outlines how you are cared for through Immaculate Transfiguration Mummification service:

Once you have passed away, your body is transported to the funeral home that was designated by you or your family. There it is prepared to accommodate any viewing or funeral service you may want.

Following the funeral services, under the guidance of the funeral home, Immaculate Transfiguration begins and carefully conducts your Mummification.

Upon completion, your body is sealed inside your Sarcophagus or casket

Your Sarcophagus or casket is then laid to rest in a sanctuary or mausoleum or buried in a vault in the cemetery of your choice.

*  The price reflects the cost for the mummification of your body under normal circumstances. It is subject to change. The price may increase for special circumstances, such as very large adults, etc. Immaculate Transfiguration reserves the right to refuse or alter Mummification services (rites) under certain conditions

"Man is so muddled, so dependent on the things immediately before his eyes, that every day even the most submissive believer can be seen to risk the torments of the afterlife for the smallest pleasure."
~Joseph De Maistre
