It would air in the wee hours of the morning...the local public asccess channel.  They'd been paid in cash to air it, and it came in an envelope anonymously as it always had everywhere the creator had managed to get it aired.  God, she loved public access sometimes...Something about demoting people to the status of puppets made her undead little heart sing...

The backdrop, a crude stage, made from a large box, with velvet looking curtains…across the bottom written in graceful blue and silver Victorian calligraphy, “Polly Parrot and the Pretty People.” Then…the wretched theme song. With a strong Techno meets a teletubbies style beat.

~It appears on the stage…a green and blue sock, made up to look like a very descent representation of a sock puppet. ~

Polly Parrot: Good Morning boys and girls…we've got a GREAT show lined up for you today...so many amazing lessons to learn.  Before we start though, let's look at some of the mail we've gotten from our viewers.  Sarah007 writes:  What happened Polly?  I'm so sad you're not on TV anymore.  When are you comming back?

Well Sarah, I hate to say it but we do have to travel the country in search for new inspiration...without it, there's just nothing for us to show.  As always you're welcome to see the show on the vast land of the interwebs, if your folks haven't let you on it...well I suppose when you're older you'll be able to enjoy it.

Okay we'll do one more before we take off...Gatorboy97654 writes, "I'm really angry you took Al off the site.  I want my own.  I looked on ebay to see if I could find one, and my folks say two hundred dollars is too much to pay for a sock puppet."

Well Gatorboy, I'm afraid I have to agree with your folks on that one.  The inspiration for Al did me a really big favor, and asked in recompense...that means in return, that we didn't sell any more puppets of him on the website.  Looks like ebay is your best bet sadly.

And on with the show...Remember boys and girls...send in what you think the moral of the stories is and we may read it on the next episode.

~The screen goes black and then when it cues up again there's a lone puppet on stage, a rubber rat with a skewer through it's center to help it move back and forth~

Rubber Rat:  I'm a stupid burglar...wait did I say that outloud?  Krud...maybe no one heard me

~Enter Grey Sock with Glasses~

Grey Sock with Glasses:  I heard you Villan!!!

Rubber Rat:  I'm no Villan!  I'm your friend...{{TRIES TO HIDE A BASEBALL BAT BEHIND HIS BACK}}

Grey sock with Glasses:  Prove it

Rubber Rat:  I'm from a big city!!!

Grey Sock with Glasses:  What the heck does that have to do with anything?

Rubber Rat:  I'm from a big city!!! ::quietly:: Yes fool, ignore the fact that I'm tresspassing and probably here to steal all your valuables.

Grey Sock with Glasses:  I heard that!!!

Rubber Rat:  Heard what?  I'm from a big city!!!

Grey Sock with Glasses:  Infidel!!! You think me a fool?

Rubber Rat:  Yes

Grey Sock with Glasses:  Taste my wrath!

Rubber Rat:  ~Tries to it the grey sock with glasses with baseball bat~  I'm from a big city!! YOU HAVE TO BE MY FRIEND!!! I'M FROOOM A BIG CIIIITY!!!

Grey Sock with Glasses:  ~Takes baseball bat, hits rat with it until rat stops screaming it's from a big city~

Rubber Rat:  ~Pauses a few moments~  I'm not a bad guy!!

Grey Sock with Glasses:  ~Resumes beating with baseball bat~

~Enter Large Armadillo looking thing~

Aaron the Armadillo:  ~Steps on Rubber Rat's head~

Grey sock with Glasses and Aaron:  ~Cheers~

~Fade to Black~

~No response from the doll.  Clown gets evil eye brows~

Stewart the Stuttering Swan:  ~RUNS AWAY~

Aaron the Armadillo:  ~Wearing a Scholars hat and glasses~  Don't think we'll be seein much of that one will we?

All:  ~Laugh~

~Fade Out.  Fade Back in with Polly Parrot the Sock Puppet Center Stage~

Polly:  Well boys and girls, that's about all the time we have today.  Tune in next week, and don't forget to write us...

the sock puppets disappear and a bubbly voice comes onto the empty stage~
