Seamus will, after a good rest from the "DOOM" style virus cleaning sit back down at his computer and pull up a three dimensional wire frame of his apartment.

He brings up a few schematics on a second monitor, swirling bits of code, little virtual representations of his little death tanks, the works. He plugs his phone-brick-thing into the front of the whirring computer and begins to type.

(OOC: First ward will be a Corr 3 Time 1 effect, Inhibits Scrying and blurs what happens underneath over a period of time. 10 Sux needed).

(Corr 3 Time 1 coincidental.  Diff 6, diff -1 foci)

2008-09-30 09:18:35 Seamus rolls 4 dice to Arete (Diff 5) 10,4,9,10 (3 successes)

As Seamus types brilliant yellow bits of code begin zooming from off the screen to surround the apartment, the first three lines begin spawning copies of themself and seem to be structuring themselves into a "dome" of sorts.

2008-09-30 09:19:57 Seamus rolls 4 dice to Arete (Diff 5) 2,1,7,9 (1 success)

As he continues typing the ward slowly begins to take shape, flowing around his home like a shining yellow shield of code.

(6 sux remaining)

2008-09-30 09:20:40 Seamus rolls 4 dice to Arete (Diff 5) 8,5,10,1 (2 successes)

More shining code shoots from the side of his screens to join the rest of it, the letters, numbers, and symbols seem to star coalescing into something more than just lines of text and symbols...

(4 sux remaining)

2008-09-30 09:21:44 Seamus rolls 4 dice to Arete (Diff 5) 10,7,7,10 (4 successes)

(damn)

With a final flurry of typing the last lines of code begin swirling around the wireframe of his apartment and in a small yellow flash the code all merges together to form a faint, shimmering yellow shell around the image of his apartment.  And as Seamus hits the enter key a big green message pops up in front of him.

"Shield Integrity - 100%"

Seamus will walk to the fridge and grab another Mountain Dew before sitting it on the counter and going to take a very long piss before sitting back down at his computer.

"One down, one to go."

Seamus brings up another set of code, from a black folder that materialized on his desktop.  These bits of code seem broken, some appear to be fading in and out of sight, some even re-arrange themselves or change color.

Seamus clears the screen of the bright green "Shields Up" message and beings to type a few key strokes.  As he beings to type anyone around him would notice a palpable air of intensity about him.  Seamus pulls a black coin from his pocket and slips it under his tongue, tasting the cool metal he begins to type in earnest.

(OOC: The second ward will be a pure entropy effect, it will cause weapons to malfunction, blasting caps to fail, firing pins to break, black powder to become inert, or power cells to be completely dead.  Difficulty 6 base (entropy 3, +3 for coinciental.  Diff -1 for foci, diff 5.  15 sux needed).

Seamus begins to type as black lines of code seem to jet out and start to weave around the shimmering yellow shell already present on the screen...

2008-10-01 09:54:16 Seamus  rolls 4 dice to Arete (Diff 5) 10,10,1,9 (2 successes)

Black code starts to mass around the wire-frame of his apartment as Seamus keeps typing.

2008-10-01 09:54:44 Seamus  rolls 4 dice to Arete (Diff 5) 2,1,3,8 (failure)
2008-10-01 09:55:02 Seamus  rolls 4 dice to Arete (Diff 5) 2,6,5,8 (3 successes)

As he types some of the code seems to fragment and break, falling from the gathering mass of black letters and symbols.  Seamus' brow furrows as he starts to rebuild that code that fractured and once patched he continues typing.

(10 sux remaining)

2008-10-01 09:56:17 Seamus  rolls 4 dice to Arete (Diff 5) 9,1,6,4 (1 success)
2008-10-01 09:56:29 Seamus  rolls 4 dice to Arete (Diff 5) 5,1,4,1 (failure)

Things seem to be falling apart as fast as he can get them built, though those are the risks one takes when dealing with this type of code.

2008-10-01 09:58:37 Seamus  rolls 4 dice to Arete (Diff 5) 9,6,8,9 (4 successes)

Things seem to go swimmingly as he begins to rebuild the lost code, the patters surrounding the wire-frame are massing nicely until the power suddenly cuts out, plunging an entire city block into blackness, and interrupting 6 hours of work...

(6 sux remaining)

2008-10-01 09:58:43 Seamus  rolls 4 dice to Arete (Diff 5) 2,1,2,2 (BOTCH x 1)

(Holy fuck diceroller...o.O)

"If the roll botches, you can spend a WP to avoid screwing up, kept going but barely, lose one suxx and increase dif by one" pg-150
And Each Failure was supposed to up the following arete rolls diffs by one.

But since you are well beyond that point we will just go with the failed effect due to the botch, rather than editing the shit out of things and rerolling.

2008-10-02 18:52:30 Radiation rolls 9 dice to Paradox 8,10,8,3,3, 10,2,8,4 (5 successes) Seamus can soak.

Six Rolls= 6 dox, Botch with level 3 sphere= 3 dox.
6+3=9 dox!
--------------------------------------------------------------

Just as quickly as he regained control Seamus lost it again. For whatever reason, a missed stroke, some bug in his software or maybe way too much caffiene he just fucks up. His code goes flying in all directions, some of it embedding like shrapnel into his software and hardware drivers.

Seamus himself recieves a potent Static shock before most of the electronics in his house go black. Some of the roving security cars stop and stare with <:-0 faces, Seamus's phonebrick will have an EMP warning on it...

When/if he reboots he will have to spend hours getting everything back in order, reinstalling and such. He will suffer a -2 to all computer based rolls for the next day.

DOH!  My bad, you have my apologies for the fucked up rolls, but *sniff* you're never around anymore *sniff sniff* and I can't ask you questions if you're not around!

2008-10-03 07:42:00 Seamus rolls 3 dice to Soak 7,9,7 (3 successes)

(Seamus takes 2 <somekindofdamage>.)

"FUCK!"

Seamus yells at whatever the hell just happens before his computer attacks him.

"Jesus mother of god Cuthulu Bhudda Vishnu fuck!"

Seamus hurries to the bathroom where he keeps his burn kits and begins to tend to the burns on his hands and arms.  He calls out behind him...

"If any of you little bastards are still working, keep an eye on the doors and windows."

He will hear many of them begin moving and one seems to be struggling, unable to get it's wheels to move sporting a :'(  face.

"I'll fix you little buddy, when I'm sure I'm not gonna break you anymore."

Seamus will pick up the struggling mini-death tank and put it on the workbench where it's face mutates to a ^_^ as the little "eyes" look around at the damage.

As Seamus wraps his hands and lower arms in bandages he will survey the house, make note of everything thats dead and start a list on what to begin resurrecting first.  That is once the nausea and static cling stop....

Bashing damage, Sorry. You wouldnt have gotten a soak if it was lethal.

It will take Seamus a good number of hours to reboot, restart, de-static, and fix the burnt-out and reset electronics in the apartment including fixing the movement of one of his little death tanks who is now zooming around the room happily like a loyal pet with a smiley face hovering above it's small metal body.

Seamus will gingerly rub his arms and walk back to the rig in the corner.

"Alright You bastard, lets try this one more time..."

(OOC: The second ward will be a pure entropy effect, it will cause weapons to malfunction, blasting caps to fail, firing pins to break, black powder to become inert, power cells to be completely dead, ect.  Difficulty 6 base (entropy 3, +3 for coinciental.  Diff -1 for foci, diff 5.  15 sux needed).

Seamus will stare once again at the familiar wireframe form of his home, surrounded by a faint shimmering yellow "shield".  That black folder is once again on his desktop, it's code fragments displaying the inherent nature of entropy, fading, cracking, breaking, changing, ever in flux, and slipping that familiar black coin under his tongue he will begin to type...

2008-11-06 09:17:44 Seamus rolls 4 dice to Arete (ward) (Diff 5) 1,8,10,2 (1 success)
2008-11-06 09:17:38 Seamus rolls 4 dice to Arete (ward) (Diff 5) 8,3,6,9 (3 successes)

(4/15 sux needed)

As Seamus' bandaged hands speed over the keyboard black strings of code fly from the folder and begin to mesh around the "shield" already present.  They form a web, strands, perhaps of fate, perhaps something else inherently chaotic, but never the less they keep coming...

2008-11-06 09:20:42 Seamus rolls 4 dice to Arete (ward) (Diff 5) 6,8,4,5 (3 successes)
2008-11-06 09:20:34 Seamus rolls 4 dice to Arete (ward) (Diff 5) 8,8,2,3 (2 successes)
2008-11-06 09:20:29 Seamus rolls 4 dice to Arete (ward) (Diff 5) 7,1,2,9 (1 success)

(10/15 sux needed)

As Seamus's fingers type faster, more and more lines of code begin to spin, to swirl around the form of his apartment, meshing, melding, and weaving with the code block already floating on screen, sometimes the codeblock appears just as code, other times it's water, at times it looks like an ice block.

2008-11-06 09:23:37 Seamus rolls 4 dice to Arete (ward) (Diff 5) 4,6,6,10 (3 successes)
2008-11-06 09:23:32 Seamus rolls 4 dice to Arete (ward) (Diff 5) 3,9,6,6 (3 successes)
2008-11-06 09:24:03 Seamus rolls 4 dice to Arete (ward) (Diff 5) 2,2,10,1 (failure)

(16/15 sux needed)

As Seamus fingers begin to tire he hits the compile button just as his fingers mash a few stray keys on his keyboard.  The swirling mass of black code seems to have taken on a singular form, a shadowy ball encompassing the yellow shield already present.  Looking at the wireframe of his house is like looking at a picture through a waterfall, or a glass block.  Some lines blurred, some obscured, others clear.  Always shifting.

With a sigh that he didn't have a repeat of the previous issue, Seamus will lock his workstation and retreat to the couch in the company of his mini death tanks and doze.

(OOC: Anyone in the area could make a roll to feel the effect activating, but pinpointing it will be quite difficult )
