Shade will make his hasty exit towards town cursing himself all the way.  This is obviously not how he is used to dealing with things.  Shade will find a secluded spot on his way to see the Prince and pull out the black briefcase he brought with him.  

Extracting a black Thermos with a big picture of Dracula emblazoned on the side he will pour the two traits worth of blood into the cup attached and satiate a growing hunger while healing his own wounds.  Keeping the old blood warm is a rare treat that is sometimes afforded, granted fresh is better, but in these times, warm blood from a Dracula thermos can almost taste the same.

(Burn 2bp to heal wounds, gain 2BP from drinking,  5BP/12BP remain)

Shade will return the Thermos to his briefcase and continue to the Prince.  Upon entering his "office" the ghouls will quickly strip Shade of any and all weaponry.  All knives, firearms, his briefcase, everything.  And after wanding him for a good 10 minutes they allow him passage.


Entering to find the prince...

"Sire, the target eluded his Final Death temporarily.  His entourage consists of two ghouls along with what appear to be "priests" from the cult Church of Paradise.  I will be continuing my efforts as soon as I am able.  You have my humblest apologies Your Highness."

Shade will bow slightly and wait for the tirade that he is sure is coming.

Carter doesnt flip right away. The ancient gears in his head are turning, this is a very bad turn of events. He makes a noise somewhere beetween a groan and a muffled roar before he stands, and quite literally screams at Shade.

'You will bring me his head before sun-up or I will have yours by midnight tommoro.'

Carter glares as Shade as if he is just seconds away from completely losing his temper and doing something very un-befitting his station. Needless to say Shade should probably get back to work and not argue the point...

Shade will bow low and make a hasty exit of the Princes haven.

Shit, only 6 hours until sunrise...

Shade will quickly restock at his haven, this time taking a couple of shotguns instead of pistols.  Stealth and surprise is no longer his option, this has become survival.  

Shade will make a desperate search in the "lower" areas of Sanfield.  He needs food, and there is no time to waste.

His quarry is easy to find this night, a sleeping bum is an easy meal, and tonight, regardless of the thrill of the hunt, he must feed.  Shade will quickly silence the man and his muffled screams are soon drowned to a dull moan as Shade drains the man completely dry in the dark alleyway.  

His pitiful cardboard chantry shielded him from view from anyone who might happen down the alleyway.

In short work the man is bloodless, no sense closing the wound, Shade rips the strip of flesh and muscle from the mans neck to leave no visible bite wounds, just a bloodless corpse.  The strip of flesh will be thrown down teh nearest drainpipe for the rats and other denizens to feast on.

Shade, now revitalized, will make haste to the cult Church of Paradise, and search out this vampire.
