Quinns voice will crackle to life over the comms...

"Ok, if people are just gonna yell out when we're tryin' to steal things from a morgue, no one's allowed to give me trouble over tryin' to help earlier.

And what the hell were you yelling at Big Guy?"

Night affords unique opportunities for the Kindred with the ability to cloak themselves in shadow.  Quinn, to young yet to be able to change his visible form like Mister Hyde, has been watching the building and entrance from an alley across the street.  The only thing visible was the occasional glimpse of movement and just now, a very pissed looking orange cat...

Quinn will cover his microphone for a moment and let out a few soft yowls into the night.  Stray cats are not uncommon in the neighborhood, and another cat won't be given any mind...

2008-07-30 12:12:04 Quinn rolls 5 dice to Cha + Surv (Beckon) 10,1,9,7,1 (1 success)

Tonight though it seems that few of his feline compatriots are out and about, a single alley cat that has been rummaging around in the garbage behind Quinn will perk it's ears and pad softly over to the young Nosferatu.

2008-07-30 12:14:40 Quinn rolls 5 dice to Manip + a-ken (whispers) 6,6,5,4,9 (3 successes)

His connection with this stray cat is quite strong, he can feel the Beast within him connecting on an empathic level with this creature in front of him.

"My dear, find me that orange cat that lives in that building would you, i think it has some information we need"

Quinn will stare back at the feline, and see if he gets any response.

The cat, though intelligent and streetsmart still only communicates simple ideas. Unfamiliarity, new threat to his territory and unnatural... is all Quinn gets. As curious as this tomcat is, he doesnt want anything to do with the fat orange thing that ran down the street.

Quinns concentration may be broken when a loud, old station wagon with fake wood paneling pulls up. An older man in a long overcoat, cold even in the late july heat steps out with a huge cup of coffee in his hand.

Quinn quickly looks up and steps back deeper into the shadows of the alley.

"Hey Big Fella, you're about to have company in there, some guy in a long overcoat and what looks like coffee."

Quinn will make note of the make and license plate of the station wagon and relay the information to Mister Grey for him to "reasearch"

{OOC: Sorry guys, I've been moving}

"I stubbed my toe." Hyde replies to Quinn's question about the source of his ire. Hyde has no problem with unchaining the Beast at a moments notice, he actually sees it as 'healthy'. But he also knows that the majority of the Camarilla does not smile upon this philosophy.

"So're you tryin'a tell me there ain't no morgues in the great Down-Under?" he asks rhetorically of Quinn "Cause generally speaking, it don't matter much how much noise ya make in one... ain't nobody gonna hear ya." He ribs the young Nos a bit.

Becoming serious again at the mention of the new arrival, Hyde resumes his artificial persona "That should be the coroner. Maintain the perimeter."

Hyde readies himself, unsure how he is going to play this out. He looks to the body-bag now laid out on the floor, and the empty spot where the computer was, considering his options.

The Coroner balances his coffee on teh roof of the car and reaches in for his bag and folders. He shuts the door and grabs the cup, his hands full as he heads inside.

He doesnt seem concerned that the door is wide open... he just calls out loudly as he enters.

'If your smoking in my office again Dennis i swear to god ill-...'

He nearly drops his coffee when he spots Agent Hyde standing there...

"We apologize for any inconvenience Doctor..." Hyde puts his finger up to the earpiece once more, for effect, "Dispatch, do we have a name on the coroner yet?" He follows this with a descrïption of the coroner's features and clothing before returning his attention to the man.

"At any rate, our sources indicate that you were to come into the possession of some, shall we say, sensitive materials this evening." He gestures open-handed to the body-bag on the floor as if he were revealing a side-show from behind a curtain.

There were supposed to be two. Obviously, there are not. As indicated by your abysmal record-keeping system, we have determined that this is due to a clerical error on your end. We need to know where that other body went post-haste, and we are willing to go to great lengths to obtain said information.

Hyde steps forward, closing the door behind the good doctor. "Can you be of assistance?"

'I..I..I...' The old Coroner, obviously stunned sets down everything he was carrying on the desk. he doesnt even seem to notice his computer was missing.

'I dont know much.. i was told two bodies would be waiting here for me and i had to come down right away... I dont have any details, Agent?..'

He leans forward trying to spot a badge or ID on Hyde...

Certainly there are many disadvantages for a Nosferatu relying on obfuscate in this modern age, but fortunately for Hyde, little of the modern age has managed to insinuate itself past the door he just shut. Away from the electronic eyes of the ubiquitous silicon machine that is the world out there, Hyde runs the show. Obfuscate is the art of bending people's minds, convincing them to see what you want them to see, not what is actually there. Far beyond mere prestidigitation or illusion, it is the ability to forcibly override the senses, our only means of determining reality.

Hyde calmly reaches his left hand into his right breast pocket as the doctor scrutinizes him, pulling out a moth-eaten, mold infested and likely diseased handkerchief that has been neatly folded away there for god knows how long, flipping it over the back of his hand and pointing it at the mans face.

What the good doctor sees however, is a shiny and very expensive leather wallet with a very formal government I.D. and a badge. He holds it out for only a moment before tucking it away again.

"Stone." he says suddenly. "You seem... tense. Almost as though you were hiding something. Please do not make the mistake of believing me to be stupid. I do not have time for games. Obviously we arranged for the two to be delivered here so that we could intercept. Problem is, you should never have been informed."

The agent removes his sunglasses, staring deeply and sternly at the old man.

"Who have you been talking to? What have you and your friends done with our property? Your calls are being traced, your records tapped. I would suggest that you do everything in your power to find out."

He gestures to the phone on the desk "If we come to find that you are withholding information, this could go very badly for you."

The Coroner swallows and begins rifling through a few stacks of poorly organized papers.

'I uh... Bodies... The delivery guy said he had one... maybe he said two. Its late.. I smoke a little weed man but im not up to anything here i swear!'

The old man shakes as he holds up the paperwork for the bodies. It says clearly there were supposed to be two, yet there clearly isnt.

(2008-08-07 09:32:42 Hyde rolls 6 dice to Perc+Subt(SenseMotive) 3,8,1,1,10, 7 (1 success)

Hyde still believes the man is hiding... something, but doubts it has anything to do with the matter at hand, besides, he can't dance around with the half-zombified old man all night.

"Indeed." he says by way of response to the coroner's rambling, putting a finger to his earpiece again, which is completely unnecessary for communication's sake, but Hyde likes the effect, he calls out to Grey once more "Dispatch, we've got a problem here." taking the papers and looking them over, he will relay details to Grey, perhaps hoping that he might glean something of importance from them that Hyde does not. "I think we've been intercepted."

Handing the paperwork back, he quizzes the haggard man one last time, "Is there anything else you would like to add at this time? Anything that might actually be helpful? This is a matter of National Security sir, just as your interference would be, frowned upon, your assistance in this matter would likewise make your life a little easier. Uncle Sam can be a generous benefactor."

Though he could likely make good on his promise to this man through his Bureaucratic contacts in the city, Hyde is essentially grasping at straws now, desperate  for something, anything to go on. He cannot allow Grey to take the fall for this Breach, as much as he is a staunch supporter of the Camarilla, his Brood comes first. He knows he will destroy half the Kindred in this city to keep them from Grey if he must, but he would rather it didn't come to that.

--------------------------------------------------------------

Grey listens closely, Hyde would hear him grinding his pointy little teeth together over the radio...

'Theres nothing man. If the paperwork was correct Roach should be there. Unless someone snatched him along the way and noone fucking Knows about it!..'

Greys temper rolls and flares. He seems on the verge of losing it but never quite does...

'Who would steal a Nosferatu body? What the hell is wrong with the world...'

Grey isnt going to be much more help. Short of hacking the police records hes basically as blind as Hyde in the situation.

The Coroner just stares at Agent Hyde like hes waiting for a firing line.

'I know nothing and i saw nothing. Dennis, or whatever his name is.. the delivery guy called me. Thats all i know...'

He will definitly be checking the news when he gets home... If he gets home...

Hydes knuckles make a sound like dry kindling being snapped over a knee in preparation for a fire as he absentmindedly balls a tight fist at his helplessness. He will be going home empty-handed.

He could just kill this poor bastard in front of him, but to what end? It would not make him feel any better for more than a moment. His jaw-muscles flare, his nose wrinkles, as if he had just let fly an infuriated 'FUCK!' but no sound emanates from him.

With nothing more to be done here, Hyde will meet the stare of the coroner, "Relax." he tells the man.

As the man slumps into apathetic oblivion, Hyde will scoop up the body-bag containing Teyshawn, Frankenstein-style, and head for the door.

As he leaves, he calls back over his shoulder "You will be under careful observation. Do not let me find out that you have lied to me."

There will be a few more frustrated sounds from grey over the radio followed by a clattering and jostling of the microphone. The exact sound Hyde and Quinn have rarely heard. Grey taking off the headset and leaving his computers...

Hyde has already dropped Teyshawn down the manhole he emerged from and was collecting his trusty cane from where he left it next to the ladder when he hears the sound.

"Ahh fook me. Are you hearin' this Quinn? I think Grey's about to go an' do somethin' brash."

Grabbing a fistful of the body-bag, he takes off running toward the Hovel, knowing full well he will not arrive in time to stop his friend.

"Yeah I heard it Big Fella, I'm already on my way."

Quinn will deftly find the nearest manhole cover and drop into the old familiar places. Quickly sketching out routes in his head Quinn will make sure to take the most direct route that would most likely intercept Grey if he's on his way to the coroners office...

Quinn will quickly hurry through the tunnels, not really paying attention to anything else but trying to find Mister Grey.
