He probably stands out like a sore thumb out on these streets. Though a more appropriate analogy would be standing out like an unmarred thumb on a bruised and battered body. Either way, he draws attention from passersby, be it favorable or non.  With every passing face that does look his way, whether to sneer at the Man of God or to nod respectfully, his response is the same: to smile in his kindly fashion, perhaps bid them good day in a genial tone before moving on.

He enjoys walking, and the lack of much settled fat on the young man’s body suggests he gets plenty of physical activity throughout his day. Perhaps it isn’t the smartest idea to walk alone in the bad streets of town unprotected, but he seems unafraid, or at least puts a lot of faith in his fellow Man.  Is he so naïve? Or is it more than that? One thing is for sure, he is new in town, and certainly new to the Slums.

But being new, he needed to know the area, and what better way than to explore it?

*She moves quietly through the streets after her most recent visit to the Rec center. Another disciple claimed for her cause, another meal had.

The man of god would of course gain her attention rather quickly, a fire burning through her veins as she halts her slow walk along the dirty streets. She takes a moment to get herself in check before following him.

The woman seems young but most of her is hidden in a smoke gray trench coat with a hood pulled up over her head. She of course would do her best to not be seen and does fairly well mingling in with crowds, keeping just enough distance to not lose the man.

She wants to know who he is and what the hell he think s he's doing here. He could be a problem and she can not have that.*

He seems rather oblivious to the fact that he is being followed. His purpose here may be an obvious one, unless she believes there to be some hidden agenda to this down-to-earth preacher. But there is that essence that exudes from him, something noticeable to all, whether they share his beliefs or despise them. Holiness? It is hard to put it into words, but one can’t help but think it is something powerful.

Perhaps his intentions truly are noble and righteous. An innocent? Is there such thing anymore in this messed up world?

The Reverend pauses once to help on old lady onto a bus. He doesn’t seem to have any real destination tonight, at least not while he is simply getting to know the streets, and the people, that are in the vicinity of his church.

*She stays back, not for fear he'd know she was following him, she could kill him easily enough. In fact she could kill a priest much easier then any other person. She stays back for the fact that if he is true of faith he'd know her for evil, for a beacon of the unholy. She'd prefer to play with her prey before destroying him, it's much more fun that way and she so needs a little fun sometimes.

He seems so damned innocent but men of the cloth never really are, at least not in her vast years of experience. Everything is done so easily under the guise of religion and no one seems to question it. How many wars has she fought for religion, for freedom from religion?

She wouldn't care what he did that night, nor where he wandered, she was focused on ONE thing, his church. She wanted to know where to send her spies, where to start her work.

This stupid fool of a man has brought her something special... a new goal. As much as she loved killing the guilty, the murderers and pedophiles... she loved killing religious leaders more. None of them were ever innocent as they spewed words of this Lord almighty who would save them all. No salvation was coming, there was no god above to keep innocents safe and pure and innocent.

She knew... she knew how many suffered for the word of god. She knew the innocents were destroyed by evil every day and there was no god to save them. She had their blood upon her hands, she'd been stained with the lives of thousands of innocents all fighting for their right to live, fighting against the binds that kept them from raising up. Where was God then? Where was he as Bella had held a 14 year old boy in her arms as he died, he died fighting for his right to believe in something other then the catholic church.

They could all keep their damned God, she would keep their souls when he failed to come for them. SHE would be the one they prayed their last words to, as they begged for the life they so wasted.

Bellisa will need plenty of patience, as the Pastor is in no hurry and seems to be enjoying his leisurely walk. But eventually, he does lead her back to the church, which is somewhat small, sitting in the midst of the Slums. Not a suspicious bone in his body, he doesn’t even think to check if anyone was following, or who might see where he was going. Is he so blind to have so much faith in everyone?

The place of worship had seen better days, but there were obvious attempts to renovate since the new preacher moved in, graffiti painted over (however temporary that would last), and other repairs being made… at least with the modest budget the church manages to get. At least now it was started to look again like a church and not a crumbling building.

((A new room will be opening up soon for his church, I believe.))

*She was in no hurry and quietly stalked the priest until he led her back to his hole in the wall.  She makes a mental note of this so she can send in the spies when needed. That was all for tonight, and she moved off into the darkness.*
