Perched on the building's edge, the fallen city of Babylon stretches out before Solomon like a rotting corpse. Deep in his heart, he knows the world died long ago... yet he still strives to rescue the few remaining survivors. He remembers the end, though he was a small child at the time, still breathing, still growing. His grandmother had revealed the truth: the apocalypse had come and gone, and no one had noticed. The Cowboy, bearing the Mark of the Beast, had risen in the west. He spread his armies and his evils far and wide. He planted the seeds of destruction.

They were warned, all of them. The omens burned bright as the sun. But no one saw.

And so once this farmer of death was done his work, it was too late. They all sat back and watched as the dark things creeped from the shadows, as the black vines entangled Etz Chaim and strangled the life from it.

With his work done, the Cowboy dusted off his hands and ascended the throne once more... and no one stopped him! Nay, they praised his return! They begged him to bring again an age of prosperity and happiness. He smiled at their words, nodding in consent... and then brought swift death upon the earth.

In the year of our Lord, Nineteen hundred and Eighty-four, the end came.

And now we find ourselves, the mass of maggots fighting over the gore of life. It is hard to continue on. It is hard to keep fighting.

But that is exactly was Solomon does. Exactly what he will continue to do until the day he turns to ash. The world is dead, and he with it, but that does not mean the quest has ceased.

He draws himself out of his dark contemplation. Tonight, he has a specific prey on his mind, one that boasts of evil. We shall see. Wrapping his form in light and shadow, Solomon ventures off into the night.

He knows this is no simple task, finding one needle in a stack of needles, but he is committed. He will stay out here all night if he must.

*She moves through the slums quietly this night, in no rush of course, her time is always her own. Her minions are working as usual on the church, she need not be there to supervise.

The dark gray hooded trench coat covers her face from sight, her body from being known but she still walks like a predator, just most people are too self involved to notice her.

She slows when she enters an alley, her eyes searching the faces of the homeless. She isnt looking for anything in particular it seems. *

High above, Solomon watches a figure in a gray hood enter an alley. He has been following this person for over 30 minutes. He can't be certain, but he has a good feeling that it is the prey he has been looking for. His enhanced vision cuts through the dark like a knife. He is weary of approaching too closely. He does not know what supernatural powers she has. Perhaps she can see through his veil of obfuscate. It is unlikely, but Solomon does not want to take any chances. She is an elder. Common sense would indicate that she is a formidable opponent.

Slowly, he makes his way down a nearby fire-escape, hoping to get a better look.

*Strolling through the homeless, her hazel eyes studying each. She makes note of a young girl, about 17 years of age. she has good teeth still and looks newly homeless...it's a good thing. Bellisa crouches in front of the girl and murmurs* If you want a home, food, a job...call. *A post it is slid into the girls palm as Bellisa pulls the hood back just enough to flash a kind smile to the girl. she then stands, the hood put back into place as she moves through the alley again, back onto the main street.*

Solomon drops to the alleyway below. He makes his way through the alley, towards the street. He weaves betwixt derelict and refuse, keeping a safe distance back from Bellisa.

*A mere glance back then shrugs to herself and continues on her way, skimming by the new priests church and continuing on her way. She halts in a city park, waiting near the curb quietly, perhaps for a ride to arrive, perhaps something else.*

Luckily for Solomon their is not much foot traffic at such a late hour. He silently follows Bellisa, unseen. As they make their way down the street, he note Desmond's church. He will have to remember that for later.

*When the black car arrives she slides into the back seat and settles in behind the smoked glass. Devin in the drivers seat says something to her, obviously gets an answer and puts the car in drive, taking off across the city.*

Solomon watches her speed away, trying to make out the plate number on the black car.

*He'd get the plate, the car registered to Devin not Bellisa and most of the time it stays parked outside the Banshee. If Solomon chooses to enter her domain, its his choice.*

Solomon makes a mental note of the license plate number, but does not venture into the Banshee. A wise hero does not go blindly charging into the dragon's lair.

This will continue another night. For now, Solomon has other plans. Instead, he makes his way back to the Spirit of Hope Evangelical Lutheran church.

He dismisses his invisibility, donning the guise of a hobo that the Reverend knows as Solomon.

It is fortunate that the Spirit of Hope’s new preacher has been working late. Solomon finds the doors open, welcoming any soul from the streets to enter. The outside of the building is getting a new touch of paint, though there are still signs of old graffiti here and there, and places where the building has begun to crack and wear.

Inside it is a bit more presentable, with plenty of light illuminating the two rows of pews. A stained glass window in the form of the Holy Cross sits behind the altar, restored and polished like many things are in the process of getting, all up to the candle sticks. On the walls, among the crosses, are displayed the sign of the Trinity and the Lutheran symbol, among other Holy symbols.

Solomon enters slowly, wiping his feet and calling out in a soft voice.

"Hello? Reverend Quade?"

The church isn’t as impressive as the Cathedral, but it has a certain warmth that is felt the minute you step off the street.

The Reverend’s head peeks out from a doorway leading to his office, and he smiles seeing the familiar face. “Hello!” He walks out to greet him. “Welcome, welcome. I am glad to see you decided to come by.”
