Wheat and tall grass cover much of what used to be an airfield.  Coming only about waist high, the vastness of how much there is on the strip is evidence that this place was abandoned long ago.  About a kilometer south you can see the edge of a section of forest, and to the north you see the main building for this tiny airport.  Eight hangers surround you on the east and the west side, also fallen into disrepair.   The air here is still and the lack of reverberation makes the area all too silent.  There are a few tracks of what appear to be humanoids on the ground, yet they are too random and indistinguishable to tell how long or how many have been here.  Lights line the field, though a few of them are broken most look to be in operable conditions.  The perimeter of the field looks to be surrounded with a chain link fence.   A few places seem to have large holes in them or have fallen over, but most of the barrier is intact.
Outside the hangers
The hangers themselves are made for small single engine airplanes.  They are not the largest of hangers but they are still pretty big.  Each one has a double digit number painted in a faded white block number, starting from the far end of the field with 01 to an almost newly painted 08 near the main building.  Above the numbers are flood lights.  Made entirely of aluminum, heat inside them becomes excessive in the sunny summer days.  The sides of a few of them have both internal and external bulges on them, looking like something was not only trying to get in, but also out.  Some hangers have large holes in them, mostly from rust and decay.  All of the hanger doors are closed but all of them have side doors that look like they have seen some activity at least in the past year.  Strangely, one of the hangers (one closest to the main building) looks almost brand new, and does not seem to suffer from the disrepair and decay that the other seven do.
