As Promised, Venture Towers is vacant the night of the meeting. The only staff on site are Sashas ghouls acting as heads of security and the mortals employed as security. They are on super high alert and have all been told that this is a drill and they are to expect an intruder before the night is over.

The parking garage has three men posted to only let specific people (You were all sent an ID badge) through. The elevators are all locked down except for the one that brings you to the meeting room on the top floor.

Armed security teams work in pairs to sweep the building and garage. Teams outside are accompanied by large dogs, brought in just for tonights security.

The ghouls run security from the main security room. watching cameras and audio surveillance, as well as patrol the roof and top floor. Two ghouls are posted at the bottom and top of the elevator.

The room is set up a bit differently. A heavy wooden table is dead center. With chairs lined up on either side. At the head of the table is a more ornate chair, probably intended for the prince.. the room is dimly lit, except for over the table and chairs. This is not a social affair.. this is a war council.

As I have called for the meeting, I would arrive a bit early (20 min.) and greet Mrs. Moreau "My dear, it has been too long. I appreciate your time and effort and hope we will be able to agree upon a plan of action this evening. I realize it odd to invite then prince, and his positions to our group, but I felt it would be wise to make them feel their voice is heard," I state everyone in a dignified tone."If you do not have any issue I will greet them at the door, and try and hurry this meeting, as I realize we all have many things that need our attention." Assuming she agrees I will greet the members coming in, thanking them for their precious time.

Sasha is a bit sour, as usual. But greets the Regent with respect... 'As you wish.'

She will let him greet people at the door.

'Beauty sent word to expect her whip, she herself cannot attend the meeting tonight..'

She adds, staring out the large windows at the city skyline...

Moving somewhat hurriedly, because he was late to start in the first place, Hyde is doing his best to avoid all of the ATM’s, Pole-mounted traffic monitoring devices and other surveillance devices Beauty pointed out to him. A passerby might see a typical businessman, wearing a casual suit and carrying a briefcase, hustling along as though he was late for a meeting.

{of course his true form is evident to any camera he was unaware of, though he has the collar of his greatcoat turned up and buttoned in front of his face, his hat-brim low and the fold-back cuffs of his sleeves turned down to cover his hands. His clothing will remain this way through the duration of his stay.}

Upon arrival, he shows his ID badge while doing his best to calm the natural discomfort his presence causes the dogs nearby; reaching out to their fear of his unnatural existence and reassuring they that he and they are of the same ilk.

Once the guard returns his badge he asks, “Did they start without me?” expecting to be the last to arrive after the tedious twists and turns he had to go through to make it here unnoticed and thinking to himself ‘Next time I’m jus’ gonna carjack some soccer-mom, this is ridiculous.”

After being shown to the impromptu war-room, Hyde ducks through the doorway, taking stock of the surroundings before settling his gaze on the regent. You must be "Herr Von Austice" he says with as much respect as he can muster. "As I am sure you are aware, I am Mister Hyde. I understand it is a little unorthodox, my being here, especially on such short notice, but it could not be helped."

"Though, I regret Beauty's absence, some things cannot be helped. I appreciate your presence and your opinion, I am certain she chose her representative well. Your knowledge of Sanfield's, how shall we say, underbelly will definitely be useful indeed. If you are unaware Beauty's chair is the second on the left." Now I am just wondering where all the others are? Certainly a Sabbat invasion should justify a bit of time taken out of their schedule. No matter, I quietly place a map of the city upon the table while awaiting my tardy guests."So, Sasha, Mr.Hyde, would you care for a cigar?" casually sliding a box of Havana's toward them as I cut one for myself and light it up, it will be a long night indeed.

Zaine rushes into the meeting, sporting his tailor made suit as usual complete with shiny shoes and of course his cane. "I apologize for my tardyness, I had other business i was taking care of."

"Ah crap, where are my manners?" Hyde says at the mention of Sasha's name. Having taken the seat the regent designated, the mass of tattered black cloth shifts slightly in the darkened room as if to look in her direction before continuing, "I thought you were a ghoul sent up to watch over me" he says, pretending not to have recognized her while she stared out the window. If not for the cowl the coat makes in front of his face, one could clearly see the shit-eating grin on his face.

He already has his hand wrapped around half the cigars in the box, before realizing what he is doing. He snaps his gaze back to the regent who is studying him with a raised eyebrow through the smoke-ring that is still traveling towards Hyde. He pauses, as a chess player second-guessing his move under the scrutiny of a better opponent, not yet taking his hand off of the piece he is incapable of knowing HOW he is about to lose, yet knowing that he IS.

"For later." he says. "I know there must be a camera in here somewhere. It would not do to expose myself here, but I would not seem rude by rejecting your offer."

Frozen, waiting for some response, inside he is wincing, not sure if he is about to burst into flames or if Beauty will be waiting up for him when he returns.

Sasha rolls her eyes a bit at Hyde, but will join the others at the table without comment. Beauty usually harasses her just as much so shes basically gotten used to Nosferatu.. Manners.

Next through the door are the two other Scourge. Paige Bell and Brian Caplin.

Paige is never one to doll herself up.. instead she is dressed in very utilitarian black clothing and a heavy 3/4 length jacket. Undoubtably heavily armed underneathe...

Brian is dressed in more formal suit, spinning a little pocket watch around an index finger by its chain.

He announces with a grin: ' Marlena is right behind us.. shes busy tongue lashing a security guy for verifying her age on the ID...'

"Thank you, for coming on such short notice, we should all be here shortly and then we can begin, Would anyone care for a Havana while you wait?" I ask cordially.

Prince Carter will arrive in disturbingly rare form... Hes very obviously on edge. Wearing a very informal pair of dress pants and a black fitted teeshirt; complete with an obvious stab wound in his side...

As many of the primogen will know he reacts strangely under great stress... begins to talk about an advisor noone has met, or seen, becomes strangely hostile or altogether dissapears...

He is obviously teetering on the edge of his sanity, if you can call it that... His pupils are blown and his fangs are visible when he speaks, the very air thick with malice around him...

'I hope i didnt keep you all waiting..'

Zaine un buttons his coat before sitting which reveals his 357's shiny glow from his shoulder holster. He pulls a pack of cigarettes out of his breast pocket putting one in his mouth and offering everyone else a smoke before setting them on the table and lighting his own.

"Well it appears everyone is here, so we shall begin. I called this meeting to discuss some different tactics we can take to annoy or possibly displace our squatters outside of town" spoken calmly."Certain tactics have proven effective, and I wanted everyones input, so we can begin implementation. First, I would like to have an amber alert given for a missing 4 year old girl believed to be taken by a sexual predator living in these mountains. This will inundate every possible haven and also bring up a handful of bodies. They have to be feeding from something, and will assist us in zoning in on their whereabouts.Second, we can use our ghouls or possibly controlled arsonists during the daylight hours to raze anything that could possibly have four walls and be used as a haven. Third, if that fails, then the dry spell we have had could easily lead to a forest fire. It could cause them to move up the attack but I feel this is inevitable. I for one would prefer to scatter them, cause them to attack before they are readied, and most likely lose a good amount of their number due to fire. A federal agent or two being killed might also be a bit of icing on the cake. Does anyone else have any ideas or opinions regarding these tactics?" he scans about looking at the assembly.

The Amber alert should be easy enough to set up, there are plenty of known pedophiles in the area, registered an’ documented on the NSOPR, surely one of them will fit the profile. If we make him disappear at the same time as the kid, who should belong to someone in a position of power, and ensure that a couple of eyewitnesses spotted them out in the woods, the whole coutryside’ll be crawlin’ with lawmen and volunteers. ‘Course, we could be playing right into their hands unless we make sure that the searches are only conducted during the day, I’m sure you’ve all heard the stories of a Sabbat pack rollin’ into a town and randomly embracing people to use as shock-troops.

Hell, we might want to use the fires as plan A.

We must also take into account that Sanfield’s proximity to the mountains means that there are a labyrinth of old mine-shafts up there. I know a few of them, can probly come up with surveyors charts on the rest. If there is a pack over in that quadrant, the bastard’s can’t have set up shop too far out or they wouldn’t be able to keep tabs on us.

Then there’s always the espionage approach. I understand that Zaine got a good look at the one what took out the Sheriff. If he could work with one of the Torries to produce some sketches, one of my clan could wear his likeness whilst wreaking some havoc in front of key witnesses, maybe something that would convince the Feds to start looking for him, slow him up a bit. Or possibly use it to draw out any contacts he might have spying on us.

Randolf arrived, he seemed a little bit neverous, and his eye darted around as he took off his coat for his yellow zoot suite, and removed the hat with the purple feather in it. He set the both on the back of his chair and smiled an ivory fanged smile. "I hope I didn't miss anything boss" As looks over at the prince. The whole jumping his knee up and down under the table.

"Prince Carter, what was your disposition on the newly recognized kindred at the last meeting of court? I spoke with the sheriff and he stated something would be said concerning her breach. I acquired some of her vitae should that prove necessary. She explained she was of your blood and that she would not fall to temptation again. I hope I was not too harsh with her." he says casually toward Carter."I suggest to his magnificence, that we no longer recognize kindred until this problem is remedied. We have no way of knowing whom is serving as a double agent or as an informant. We should assess any kindred whom were acknowledged within the last year as they could easily be suspect."

Carter nods to his fellow Malkavian before addressing the Regent.

'That new one.. Collio; is not of my blood. She has been branded and bound to me but there is still much we need to know about her...'

Carter seems to calm a bit and finally takes his seat...

'I agree. With the sabbat at our borders we can only assume any new arrivals are spies or scouts... I have ordered all scourge to bring any newcomers directly to me. If they will not come willingly they are to be killed on the spot. We have no margin for error here anymore... '

Carter sighs and decides to break out the bad news.

'Sheriff Quadrial Asmai met his final death last night. Zaine and Collio were witness to it... The one responsible claimed to be a Sabbat Templar.'

He looks to Zaine, perhaps for verification...

'Phoenix is following Collio for me, she seems to breed trouble...'

"Should you wish her ended it would not be any trouble. I can finish her this evening if it were your majesty's wish. As you know if anything should fail we can act as a bulwark if the Sabbat breach the city and you feel threatened. I will only accept those kindred I have known for over a decade though."

'Is there any way you can reveal whos blood flows in her veins Regent?.. She is no malkavian and would not reveal what clan she was no matter how many of her personalities i threatened.'

He doesnt say anything about killing her just yet. He figures the leverage of a blood hunt and her bond to him may prove more useful than a pile of ash with a white dress...

Carter considers Mr. Hydes input carefully...

'The idea of setting fire to the forest is best kept as an extreme failsafe... should such a blaze get out of control we could all stand to lose our havens and unlives... I like the amber alert however, getting more mortal authorities in the mountains could help us root them out..'

"It is possible, though I believe there are simpler ways in which to, how shall we say, determine her lineage. After some time I believe she will be more than happy to tell us everything she knows. After we have flayed her flesh for a week and ripped her arms from her sockets, she should prove the font of information. I also hear tell that searing her flesh is also quite loosening to the tongue. But again if this is what you wish my liege, I would not want to upset your magnificence." He responds bowing low before the master of the city.

'Should the blood bond and Phoenix's unexcapable eye not turn up anything, i will gladly turn her over to your tender graces Regent.'

He says -tender graces- with a fanged grin. Nothing sets the mood like talk of torture... foreplay for the damned.

'Another problem, we are currently without a sheriff. As Zaine has both seen and fought with the Sabbat Templar i am inclined to appoint him as Sheriff for at least the duration of the seige. Would there be any objections to that?..'
