Grey does not fight directly. He prefers the supporting role in any conflict... If it came down to it he would stand toe to toe with anyone to protect the hovel.

But beyond that... well, hedp refer to be Hydes eyes and ears over the city.

Grey worked up his plan. It took him three nights to hack the city's cameras but now he has access to almost every traffic camera, atm camera, and cctv security system in the city.

He has transformed his little shanty into a control room. He had to go out and loot an extra dozen monitors but he has a virtual nexus to watch the city from.

He also set up a powerful antennae and gave Hyde a small headset for two way communication. There is a small box on the headset that grey insists Hyde turn on before saying a word.

Its a scrambled radio, he will explain. anyone listening in would need quite the setup to understand what was said and filter out the static.

Remember: That which does not kill you was simply not permitted to do so for the purposes of the plot.

Grey has been doing his best to tutor Hyde in the ways of electronics, anyone who knows Grey might even say he was being uncharacteristically patient. Perhaps he is simply pleased that someone finally appreciates what it is he does.

While Hyde may not understand the all nuances and intricacies of what Grey has accomplished, he is deeply impressed nonetheless, equating what the nimble-fingered alien has done to what it might take for he himself to level a skyscraper with his bare hands.

More importantly than how he did it, Hyde understands the implications of what Grey has done and is very, very, excited about it.

Nature and History do not agree with our conceptions of good and bad; they define good as that which survives, and bad as that which goes under; and the universe has no prejudice in favor of Christ as against Genghis Khan. -Will and Ariel Durant
