Though not terribly far away, Hyde was still at Buggy's new squat, plying his limited skills at helping to get her settled, namely moving heavy objects around. Grey's scream brings him running back to where the others are gathered just in time to hear Quinn's comments.

The monitor on the floor still holding the still image of a dead roach and just at the edge of the screen, the talons he never had before...

"I..." He struggles to find the words, with all that has happened lately, his mind immediately seeks to accuse, 'Et tu, Brute?' is his first thought, though he knows better.

"My condolences old friend." He says at last, knowing there is nothing else to say. "But... what in the hell is that?" he says pointing to the clawed hand.

'Roach didnt have claws. He had little monkey hands, terrible fingernails but never claws...'

Theres a change to Greys voice. He has always been emotional, but usually just exciteable and quirky. Never depressed..

'I have to get up there. What if hes just in torpor? They will cart him off to the mourge and -I- might be held responsible for this breach...'

Depression quickly turns to near panic.

"I'm afraid i need to agree with Mister Grey, we've got to get him out of the hands of the kine.  We don't need a band of scientists going to town on the lad.

Say Mr. Grey, can you control the traffic lights from down here?"

Quinn seems lost in thought, already planning ahead.

Knowing that holding on to the glimmer of hope that Roach yet lives is only going to make the revelation that he is truly dead come crashing down on him all the more if that turns out to be the case, Hyde decides to go 'tough-love' on his old friend.

"He's gone Grey, look at the screen. his throat's been torn out. That's a kill-shot, deliberate and precise."

"We will retrieve your boy Grey, we will bring him back, but we need you down here old bean, none of us can run you equipment the way you can and we're lost up there without it."

Beaumont stood their quietly as words were exchanged...how old was the one lost?  She had no idea whether or not he was older than she...but wouldn't deem it unlikely...she wasn't all that old to begin with...one of the highs and lows of being in a new area, no one really knew enough about you to make snap judgements...more often than not it was assumed that you were a young idiot...and she was inclined to leave such impressions where they were...reguardless of truth.

The comment about why one would venture so far from the brood made her think...How else do we garner information if it's not leaving the comfortable halls...how else am I to find my inspiration?  Unknown intruders...well it did make the insect infested nossie wonder at this particular broods security measures...and reminded her that she needed to find a more...suitable location to lay her head during the day than the one she presently had...

More silence as nails dug into a spot on her neck...grunting with a mild measure of agitation...the wheels were spinning...

Grey grits his teeth again hearing Hydes words. But he is right... Greys head spins and he looks from face to face. Finally just collapsing back into his chair.

'Ill operate here, we need to move fast. Roach was unpresented and too young to be above ground by himself. If we cant clean this up then the breach will be on my head as his sire...'

And they all know Prince Carter takes to the traditions and punishments like an obsession... They have seen as many executions lately as they have presentations...

Altering his voice slightly, Hyde whips his phone out and starts making phone calls, trying to figure out where the bodies are going and attempting to get the Roswellian creature and possibly the oddly decomposed corpse separated from the others.

It takes many calls before anyone sounds even remotely pliable.

"Look, it's going to make my job a lot harder if that wannabe Gonzo-journalist is hounding my steps, and if my job gets harder, yours is going to get downright unbearable. Just see to it that the freaky ones don't get sent to the city morgue where they are expected to go, send them to that crummy hole-in-the-wall in the slums where I can work in peace."

There is a moment of silence on the line before the voice on the other end replies 'ok ill get it done'. Hyde hangs up and looks to Quinn. "We got us a window. If yer comin' wif me, this train's leaving the station. But I'll'ave none'a that howlin' crap. Fer crissakes, I could 'ear yous in the sewers man." He grins as he ribs the newcomer, knowing that if he sticks around long enough, he will surely witness Hyde doing something just as stupid eventually. If not more so.

Dropping his grin, he states "We're going for subtlety 'ere, jus' stay hidden and follow my lead, it'll be nice to know there's somebody got my back if I needs it." Knowing time is of the essence, Hyde wastes no more time. He gives a quick nod to Grey and breaks into an ungainly run.

Beaumont listened as Hyde seemed to have some means of getting back the breeches...at least, it sounded like there was perhaps the snowballs chance in hell that it would get taken care of...at the mention of the reporter being bothersome...Beaumont didn't utter a word...reporters could be rather troublesome, there wasn't any denying such things...

She shifted back and forth a bit, and dug at her side, grunting with agitation at the incessant beasties that seemed damn determined to keep their home there...At least they're as determined as the bugs to keep things under control here...A small consolation perhaps in the potential for all hell breaking loose...she muttered, "WWMD?"  There was an ill placed laugh to herself there and then it stopped abruptly...

When she spoke up, Beau wasn't loud...she didn't ever seem to raise her voice...at least, not with any measure of regularity..."Reporter shouldn't be a problem in a few hours...I'll be back with presents for you Mr. Grey as soon as it's possible...will just need you to send a file..."  Moments later Beaumont would be heading back to her own hovel before heading topside...

They needed someone to blame...

Quinn hurries after the hulking figure of Mister Hyde, determined not to lose him this time.  Last time he lost track of this Big Fella he ended up with a bear trap around his ankle and Quinn has no plans on doing that again.

Quinn will follow Hyde into the depths of the sewers in hopes of stopping the Human scientists from dissecting poor Roach and bring him home.

(Just to make sure i dont fuck my own timeline too hard. Is Buggy turning over the video to Grey while Hyde and Quinn are out retrieving Roach?)

((I'd say it's a possibility...timeline wise I have no idea which set of tasks would be finished first...if timeline wise it looks like it would have taken less time for her to do her thing...than it will for them to complete what they're doing I'd say yes...if not...well then no...at this point, more than happy to difer(sp?) to your judgement on this one)
