I spend most of my time in the library as I do not yet understand my place in this world. As the time ticks on i slowly begin to realize that i am no longer human.

I take a seat at a table in library and reach for a book lying on the table. It reads Vampires a World of Darkness. I think to my self maybe by reading these books in here i may understand what i need to do to structure this awkward life that has overcome me.

I can feel my lowliest apprentice within the communal library and decide to pay a visit.
I enter the room softly, noting his attention upon the book in his hands. "James" I say in a conversational tone. "I see you are still seeking more knowledge concerning the lesser lines of our rivals. I realize there is only so much one can learn from these tomes, without practical experience, I will allow you to accompany myself at the prince's court. You are not to speak and follow your seniors lead. Do not embarrass your clan. Do you understand? I will expect you dressed and ready on the evening of court. I will have our servants acquire you a set of decent clothing. Afterward, I will expect a written paper on your opinion of what transpired there. Have I explained myself fully."
I await his reply, noting his unease under the scrutiny  of the Regent of the Chantry.

  "Yes Sire, i will follow your declarations and i will only hope that I do not disgrace you. My eyes, ears, and every sense in my boy will be focused on recording what goes on in Elysium." i preach to my lord as I stand up and bow before him.

 As I continue to talk to him I keep losing my focus in he book I am reading. Drops of sweat from on my forehead from he immense presence he casts over me. I slowly reach for a cloth in my ight pocket to whip it from my face.

 "Well with your permission I would like to do some research on the Elysium so i may better understand the court system." Speaking with a soft tone.

 "May i have access to documents concerning the Elysium?"

 I sit back down at the table awaiting a hopeful response.





 

"You will need knowledge for what you are to observe, I will expect that you are aware what is transpiring around you.I hope you enjoy your time." With that I exit the room, again headed for my laboratory, fulfilled at my accomplishments as to the neonates for the eve.

As my regent leaves the room I breathe a breath of relief.(He always makes me so nervous.) I then begin to rummage through the books for something interesting to help pass the time while I await to accompany him to Elysium.
