I call forth Jiles the butler and tell him that I require the company of Jillian and Sebastion, and James to assist and learn. I state exactly where they are in the Chantry and that they are to come as soon as possible. I recline in my chair, I have been interested in seeing their skills at work and I think I have just the challenge in mind.

I am sitting book in hand as Jiles knocks upon the door.  I bid him enter and listen to his statement of the Regent's request.  I am not disappointed to be disturbed, though this tome was some research I have been needing to do.

I dismiss him and quickly straighten up my things and my person before exiting the room.  I make sure that every item is back in its proper place and the room looks the way I found it.  A mess is never a good idea.

I move towards the Regent's room quickly, wanting to be the first to arrive.  When the Regent says as soon as possible, it is never good to be anything but first.  He notes such things.  I again check my hair and dress quickly before reaching to knock at the door.

"Come in Jillian," slightly muffled through the door."Please take a seat, Sebastion will be joining us shortly. I have also asked Alex here as well and would like you both to take him with you. He has needed some time away from his studies and I believe this is a perfect opportunity."

Armed with my shovel I am digging in the garden. I count the holes out loud and stop when I get to 13th. Ah, a hole for the 13 lost in the fight for Cork freedom, and maybe one these day it will make me feel whole again, like in the good old days. I plant 13 black oak trees into the ground. I see Jiles, the butler, getting lost in the ever changing hedge mage. I call him over "you must be careful here at night you never know what might sprout up and get you in my garden." I can see a little fear in his face because he knows I’m speaking literally on the subject. He fills me in on the message from my Regent. I stand up strait seeing his shock over my size. "Thank you, for coming out here to find me in the garden, I would not have known other wise." I pat him on his back and he is thrown off balance from sheer force of my kind gesture. I brush the dirt off best as best as I can and head toward the house. I arrive second at the Regent’s room. "Good evening, Jillian you are looking stunning as always. How your research coming?"

p.s. you see a 6 foot 5 inch man about 250 pound of muscle. My facial structure is boxy at best and my hair matches my eye at a simple shade of dark brown. I wearing black wife beater with a green skully cap. My slack are hold up by a pair of green suspender. I am cover in dirt from the garden.

"I appreciate the rapidity of your response, though Sebastion you can change next time," spoken with slight sarcasm "Well, as you two are here I can begin and you can fill in Alex whenever is convenient. I need you both to perform a simple task for me, It seems there is a film crew, a haunted new england or some such as that, that has decided there are some sort of "ghosts" or "goblins" dwelling in our sewer system. It has made things very problematic for those "goblins" we do actually have. I have assured Beauty , the elder, that we can scare them off or at least stop them from being a nuisance. They are staying at the Lucky Star Casino and have rented an entire wing for some sort of party this evening. I have acquired you three passes. I expect this to be dealt with shortly with no breaches. There should be no need with both of your abilities. I will be sending Alex along with you to observe and get a bit of socializing. I place him as both of your responsibilities. Oh, I almost forgot the Lucky Star is also Mr. Arturo's domain and the toreador should be made aware of your presence. I will leave this to you Jillian, I am certain you will keep our name out of the gossip amongst the harpies. Well if you do not have any further questions, I will let Sebastion make himself a bit more presentable, and I am certain you might wish to touch yourself up a bit. I will send Alex along when he finishes his rituals. Jiles,"I call out loudly enough that he can hear "make ready the Mercedes and tell the driver there will be three passengers and it had better look immaculate."

As the Regent finishes his statement I come stumbling into the room. "I apologize for my tardiness I kinda got lost on my way here." I pull out a handkerchief and wipe my brow of some sweat. Rushing through these corridors really does give you quite a workout. "Well, what did I miss?" I gaze upon the room with a confused look.

"Make yourself ready you have a party to attend, Jillian and Sebastion will explain later. Offer them whatever assistance you can. Hurry, you will be leaving within the hour." at that I dismiss him with a wave of the hand. There never seems to be enough time in the night for apprentices, but at least he does not have the fiends at his door as was the case when I was his rank.

The entire time the Regent is speaking I am calculating the best plan to meet his needs and keep us out of trouble.  We need to have an understanding before hand of what each of our purposes is.  

When the Regent dismisses us I ask Sebastion and James to meet with me briefly in the parlor to discuss a tactic.

Once settled in the parlor I explain, "I believe this evening will work much better if we each have a role and an understanding of it.  I have already formed a solid plan, but you know your own skills so please speak up if you feel it is inappropriate to what you are capable of."  I should know there skills better than I do, but generally they are keeping busy in studies and it is not my job to oversee that.

"Since you are very new to our game, but not so far from the mortal one, I was thinking that you, James, could be my date for the evening.  It would explain our presence, give you ample oppurtunity to practice socializing and to watch Sebastion and I and learn.  As for you Sebastion, with your size you would make a formidable bodyguard for James and I.  This would serve three purposes.  It would allow you to watch James and keep him, and us, out of trouble.  It would also allow you to speak quietly to either of us without anyone wondering what we were whispering about.  Finally, it would allow you to work in whatever way you think best with all of the extras at the party, the help and so forth, in case we need them for any reason.  Do either of you see a problem with this plan?"

I do allow them room to speak in this.  Normally, I feel myself the most capable of the three of us in forming such plans, but they, especially Sebation, do have very wise advice from time to time and I am willing to listen to that advice in this case.  It is much easier to work with people who feel they had a say in the job they have to do.

I make direct eye contact at Jillian and say, “We need to refine the plan, we are researchers so we should use what we are good at to relocate the production.” I glance over my shoulder, "James I’ve notices you spend most of your time in the library, how about researching anything occult or paranormal in the mountains to the east. Don’t be afraid to use the ghoul for your labor. I think if we can pull the info together, organize the data and persuade the producer we should be golden. The problem for the Nos is solved and whatever problems it creates for anything that lurks in the mountain is not my concern.” I cross my arms, lean against wall “This will allow the city to still retain the profits of the show and prevent us from stepping on any toes of the cam.”

"Understood sir." my goal is to observe and to help benefit you in anyway possible. I will dig try to find out as much stuff about the mountains that I can. then we can use any information we find to help persuade them to move the location of their show. yes this will defiantly work and we won't need to do anything really drastic which will keep our sleeves clean for the night.


I asked to be dismiss and I take to my work. I hope that by helping and observing I will further advance my place here. I begin by looking for any books about or in and around the eastern mountains. I begin piling books onto the table. Im prepared to take spend my time efficiently so I can come up with something before the party starts.

I smile as Sebastion looks me straight in the eye, and maintain the eye contact throughout his suggestions.  I allow him the time to explain his plans and nod my agreement that they are indeed a good addition to what I had said.  I have never been the one to plan things thoroughly I just get us in the door and keep us out of trouble throughout.  Sebastion's thought on research has a lot of merit, if it can be accomplished in the little time we have.

I think for a moment then look back at Sebastion an easy smile on my face and reply "Your forethought and insight shows the wisdom I had hoped for.  Excellent job of filling in the holes.  I will report your accomplishments to the Regent and Reginald, if it works in the short period of time we have.  We will combine the two ideas and allow James to present the information to the producers since he he is the one doing the research."

I also remind James as he is leaving, "I will be in the library later if time permits to aid you."  I then grin at both of them.  "This is going to be fun!" I head to the door to get ready for the party.
