In the darkest hour of the night Jessica strides through the chantry's halls with an armload of books from the library.  She spares a moments thought to wonder where the others are.  If maybe they were working as studiously as she or if they were preoccupied with midnight rendevous with the sordid denizens of this city.  Probably the latter, she muses, and that had its place.  She felt they neglected their studies though and that was why she would surpass them all in the thaumaturgic arts.  She might be young in the blood but her raw talent and retention skills were unquestionable.

She liked the others well enough.  Since coming to the Sanfield chantry she had become a firm believer in the Tremere way, especially with Regent Thaddeus at the helm.  He had invested more time and effort on her than anyone had in her entire life, living and unliving. While the others seemed to treat her with a modicum of wariness the Regent never displayed any such behaviors.  Indeed he traeted her as an equal which pleased her greatly.

Jessica was also quite fond of Jillian.  She was away a lot and often the regent or someone else took on her duties in Etiquette training.  Those lessons were never quite as fulfilling as Jillians.  She was a virtuoso in the political game and while Jessica had no desire to mire herself in the games and manuevers of elders on a regular basis she strove to copy her cunning tactics and fast wit.  Jessica was quite fond of psychology and mind games.

It was Sebastion that perplexed her most.  His obsession with plant life Jessica could not fathom.  Sure she had her insects but that was different.  Sometimes she would fantasize about breeding a particulary voracious swarm of locust and setting it loose in his garden.  It was only a passing fancy but it made her smile.  There was nothing personal between the two of them but Jessica had made a sport of taking verbal jabs at him in an almost sibling rivalry fashion.  Sure sometimes it took on a slightly malicious tone but that was ok wan't it? Competition kept a person sharp.

As she entered her chambers she dropped the armload of books on a table and prepared to get to work.

For once, Jillian just happened to be in the library.. everyone knows she has her own library, quite large, in fact, that took the place of her garage at her condo in the heights... she had an expansive collection and rarely needed to return to the chantry for her studies.. but there was one book she needed.. and she just happened to be in the library retrieving it as Jessica entered..

Jillian moved quietly and gracefully, even in the simple library, her chin held high.. Dressed in a floor length simple black gown.. not too fancy, but Jillian would never be caught in anything... casual... the slit in the dress reached clear up to the top of her thigh, and the plunging neckline left little to the imagination.. her hair up in a french twist tonight... She smiled as she saw Jessica enter.

"Evening, Ms. Ward."
