The lodge originally was built and owned by a wealthy plantation owner back in the early colonial days and has been passed down from generation to generation.  During and prior to the civil war, the lodge was used by the family to house runaway slaves and hide them in the nearby mountains.  In the 1950’s, the owners decided to make the lodge open to hunter, renovating it to modern life with electricity and plumbing.  Renting out the property to groups of hunters, the owners would make a good bit of cash, and even act sometimes as guides.  In the early 90's it was declared a historical site and renovated again with a porch and the three cabin addition.

The lodge is well maintained inside.  The living room is immense, complete with three elk heads glairing at a person where ever they stand in the room.  There is a complete kitchen, with all the tools and gadgets for cleaning a kill.  Upstairs is an office with a gun rack filled with old world and modern rifles, as well as a cabinet with all sorts of maps of the surrounding area used by hunters to plan hunting expeditions.

Underneath the lodge is a network of caves used by the owners to hide and transport run away slaves during the Civil War.  They connect the three small cabins to the lodge and into the mountains near by.  Access can be gained from a trap door inside the living room fireplace.  These tunnels can be used by vampires to get away from the sunlight and have decent access to the country side.
