In the wee hours of the morning the library offically closed down. Closed to the public, all the workers told they are on vacation until further notice.

The official story would be a high concentration of Radon Gas in the ancient buildings basement.

The building would be taped off and sealed up, the only people going in or out arrive in black vans marked 'hazmat' and wear bulky looking spacesuits.

After a week or two the Library will re-open. Called Radon free in the papers as well as having a short blurb about new management and how the former employees all won a generous out of court settlement for any potential side effects of their exposure.

Most of the former employees have been transfered or simply moved out of town.

Daniel will pass by this library a few times during his span of time evading capture and finding spare shelter throughout the city.  There are only a few reasons why the Suits would cordon off a building.  He doesn't buy the "radon gas" story like most of the sleepers do.

Daniel will take a closer look once or twice after they "re-open" the library.
