"No time for that Mon Cheri," as she assists you standing. Your body seems different, similar in a way, but its like walking in water. Your first steps are faltered, but you quickly get the hang of it. Upon looking at her you can see the worry painted across her visage, clearly she is very worried. She pulls you toward a wall, motioning you as if to continue.

"Go on, they'll be here soon. I'll follow..." as she again lets her gaze wander back toward the entrances to the room, wondering if the barghests have caught his unique scent yet, or if they are just drawn toward the caul.

Death is one of two things. Either it is annihilation, and the dead have no consciousness of anything; or, as we are told, it is really a change: a migration of the soul from one place to another.

Confusing.  She tells him to go on, but she never said where, no meeting place or direction other then forward.  He starts to slowly stumble down the path she motioned towards but looks back at her before continuing.

"Where am I going to?", he asks her before going all the way down the path she somewhat provided.

The sounds of others are drawing near, the muffled noises are definitely not human in sound.

She turns at your question and see what appears as understanding dawn upon her face. "You think like the living dearie, you are dead. It will hurt a bit, but press on through the wall," as she grabs your hand pulling you quickly toward the wall.

As she reaches it you can see her form hit it and become insubstantial. Her hand no longer holds yours, but there is a strange ephemera floating through the barrier. (lost 1 Corpus)

A crash from behind you and a loud howling suggest that whatever she is running from is certainly not far away.

Death is one of two things. Either it is annihilation, and the dead have no consciousness of anything; or, as we are told, it is really a change: a migration of the soul from one place to another.
