Just before dawn one rainy and dark morning the thin walls of the Dojo will be pierced by a scream coming from Yin's room.

Its shrill and quick, as if she cried out in pain.

 I immediately rise from my bed, hearing the scream and knowing its direction and possible source. I would act without worry but her and the other Akashics are alien and not worthy of trust. I have invited her into my abode yet still do not trust her enough to wander into a situation unprepared. I draw my hands into the forms willing my mind to transcend the distance, guided by my Kami I look into her room not knowing what to expect...

As Toshis senses penetrate the building into the room he gave to Yin he will feel two presences. Yins is weak, fading, she could be dying and a second stronger presence unlike anything he has ever felt. Something clearly unnatural and terrible...

Yins scream turns to a gargled choke and there is a sharp cracking as if someone crushed a desk...

 I quietly stand, reaching for my tools. Whatever is up there is not pleasant and whatever advantage I have might be ruined should it hear me. I cross the distance to the door, opening it I glance up the stairwell looking for any sign of this thing.

As Toshi looks up the stairs he will first note that Yins door is partially open. Through the six inch space he can see something... Its skin is pinkish white and nearly see through to the muscles and blood vessels underneathe, like that of a baby bird...

But this is no bird, in fact when it stands up it is easily seven feet tall with large black eyes the size of fists. Its mouth is circular like the sucker on a leech and filled with row after row of small razor sharp teeth. It is vaugely humanoid in shape, but looks horribly bloated and underdeveloped...

The things chubby face is splashed with blood, probably Yin's... It sucks what looked like a floppy bit of skin down its gullet before lowering its head down and out of view again to continue eating...

The sound is gut wrenching, the crunching is clearly bone against teeth and the still warm flesh tears like wet meat...

 Upon seeing the creature I realize this is no Tengu, should it have been I would only have asked guidance and let it go about its appointed task. No only crows are their embodiment, surely this is some Yomi trying to confuse and muddle my purpose intent upon my undoing, it shall not succeed. I silently open the door and pass through moving to within ten feet of the thing, it is good Yin did not have much furniture as it gives my Kusarigama the reach and room that is necessary.

Toshis weapon opens up a momentary gash in the pinkish creatures back. It stands with a cry similar to that of a wounded pig and maybe a donkey...

Before his very eyes he will see the wound not only close, but massive scar tissue develop effectively adding ten pounds to the creature and nullifying any damage he may have caused it.

The creature howls and spins around to face its attacker with bulbous black eyes and little bits of Yin hanging from its razor like teeth...

 Upon seeing the demon's power and Yin's dead corpse, with the thought of saving her out of his mind he is quite glad he choose his kusarigami as his weapon of choice. Certain demons have a required task and obviously he has interrupted this ones.

He turns, breaking for the opened door and stairwell, (he will be headed out into the street)

To Toshis dismay the door he seeks to flee through had swung closed after he entered. But, the creature he seeks to escape helps him unintentionally.

Toshi will feel the warm, squishy flesh of the creature surge against him in a bull rush. Toshi is slammed into and clean through the flimsy door but the creature rams its shoulders into the frame and is stopped.

There is another baying screech from the creature and the last thing Toshi will hear as he exits his home is the doorframe cracking and giving in to the crushing strength of this creature...

 He hits the ground running hard, knowing that demon could be just behind him. He starts through various alleys and clutter hoping to allude his pursuer.

Toshi will escape easy. The creature has no designs for him, it got what it came here for. The thing will somehow slip away once it gets outside, returning to whatever festering shithole it calls a lair to go through another set of painful, maddenning mutations after consuming half the DNA that created it...

He will continue working his way through the city trying to shake the creature, eventually getting nearer his destination.
