Deirdre waits around Thorns for Sebastion to arrive.

I arrive at Thorns and i walk into an a trash bar. i look around to see who in the bar beacuse i do not like to do my voodoo when people are a foot.

By now the police have left, after gathering their evidence and roping the place off with crime scene tape.  The various clubgoers have been shooed away as well, with promises of further contact for "Project Thorns."  Now it's just Deirdre and Harry, hanging around the back entrance to the bar and waiting for Sebastion.

As the Tremere pulls up, Deirdre approaches him.  "Thanks for coming out," she says, her voice having an honest expression of gratification, quite unlike the normally cool air she affects in front of Sebastion.  There's still some manner of tension there, as if she is uncomfortable turning to him.  "The police are done doing their business, though they want to keep the scene for another day or two in case they need to come back.  So I guess it would be best if we disturbed as little as possible."

As Deirdre and Sebastion walk up, she stops in front of Harry.  "This is Harry, he owns the place.  Don't worry, he knows about us and he'll keep anything we say secret."

"I will be using power of the old ways so I may look little crazy as I’m talking to objects." I will be trying to get  any information out from the object about the intruders.

Nice rolls, looks like Sebastion gets the play by play from the building. The other damaged objects merely confirm the story and whine about their torment and mistreatement. (especially the shit covered bar.)

Deirdre hangs around, waiting for Sebastion to finish doing his thing.  If he doesn't want her in the bar area while he does his "investigation," she waits around in the back room with Harry.

I called them back out," hey guys it was Zanies boys who did this to your bar. There are three of them involve two Blacks and one white guy. I have definite I.D. on one of the black guys because he did not have a mask on when he enter Thorns. They are of gangsta persuasion so I assume we need to try finding a car with 20inch rim or something. I think maybe if were lucky, I can retrace their step and see if they drove because they walk up from the left. I may need a hand on the street walk so I don't look complete crazy talking to objects. I just need you guys to look like your having a conversation with me as I talk to inanimate objects. One of them gave a positive I.D. saying that they work for Zaine so I’m guessing their ghouls because they easy rip down your door and there obviously stupid as a box of rocks. This should not be too hard to track. Hey Deidre I told ya it would not be long before Zaine Fuck himself.”  

"Hold on a minute," Deirdre says, holding up a hand.  "As much I want to break these bastards' bones, I'm not about to get even further into the Sheriff's bad graces.  Next time he might actually hurt someone.  I wouldn't put anything past him.  You talk about uniting the other younger Kindred behind a solid front.  Well, we're not going to be able to do that if the Sheriff or the Prince decide to make us ash.  I want revenge, believe me I do.  But I want to live too."

"My plan is to let him reap what he sow, sometime a man need to learn to take care of his business in a graceful manner. He running around with no control over his people and causing hell for people like us in sanfield. All we have to do is make a few phone calls to make his life a living hell and it will be real hard to traces back to anyone. Here my plan."

"If I can find a year and the model of their car, I can call anonymous tip to crime stopper to be on look for model of car and the descrïption of his servants. Than I just add a little flare to the story about what I witness to get cop riled up."

“We do not have to any thing but make a couple of phone call. He has lit fuse to his destruction. We are just giving it a helpful hand.”

"Zaine has already eluded authorities twice.  He's been caught on the news running around with guns...twice.  And he's managed to dodge the bullet both those times.  What makes you think he won't do that again this time?  He is powerful...I'm not sure how much physically, but he has standing and influence in the city.  If he loses a few thug ghouls, so what?  He can always make more.  But I have nothing other than Thorns and Harry.  We need to be cautious about this."

I think he may need to be knocked off his high horse so he stops trying to strong arm everybody. He may be sheriff of sanfield but change is constant with Prince Carter. "I understand that.  Believe, me no one wants to take him down more than I do.  However, we need to go about it intelligently.  We have little or no political clout in this city...what do you think will be our fate if we directly go up against the Prince's pet dog?  You might have your entire clan to back you, but I have nothing.  I am only trying to look at this from a cautious, intelligent angle."

" You be surprise what sway i have in this city so if your not willing to any thing at moment with zaine thats is fine with me. i will hold off.Just an idea, how about we work on getting your name back on the good side of the law, it is really not that hard of an task in the time of war. all you got to do is fine some information that usefull to city. i know you don't want to but it one way to survive an another day."

Deirdre sighs.  "What if...what if we went to the Prince with this?"  She doesn't quite like the idea.  But right now it seems to be the best she has.  And as much as she hates the Prince, she hates Zaine even further.  And it would be quite wonderful to knock him down in front of his master.  "Surely the Prince can't let even his favored dog run rampant.  He needs to keep some semblance of order and law."

“We need to start with Harpy because Thomas Arturo needs to know when some one doses something stupid in sanfield anyways. When dealing with some one in power it just makes since to try to gain favor with other individuals with equal power."

"On another note, if your clan would accept you again Deidre would you go back? I could use this as opportunity to see where you stand and we can figure out how to fix it."

"I can't got to Arturo myself.  He banned me from his domain, remember?  So I could only meet him outside of that gaudy casino of his.  I don't know if he'd come here...maybe we could set up the meeting at your chantry?

"As for regaining stature -- it's become all too clear to me that I need some kind of defense in this city.  However, I'm certainly not about to toady around to their game, or come crawling back asking for their good graces.  However, I need something.  My plans, before all this happened, was to raise my name in the mortal world.  Harry was going to help me get my name around, try to make something of myself.  With all this, that's certainly not out the window.  But it's on hold for a little.  Although, in the long run, this may help that, in a way."

Deirdre looks over at Harry, having somewhat forgotten he had been listening in on this entire conversation.  "What do you think?"

Harry has been leaning against the doorframe of the storage room, listening to the entire exchange.  He's not quite sure what to make of the whole thing.  Well, he's not quite sure what to make of anything that has gone on in the past week.  Finally he speaks up.

"Whoever this Zaine guy is, he sounds like one tough bastard.  I've had to deal with a few of his type in the past -- drug dealers, an occasional mafioso.  I agree, you can't go in there guns blazing, or you'll set yourself up for further pain.  Best I can suggest is we take this slowly and step by step."

While this is surely Harry's opinion based on experience, he's also personally taking into account what Deirdre is purposefully not saying:  this time the bar was trashed.  Next time, someone could get killed.  And more than likely, that someone is going to be him.
