It has been odd having a clean up crew that works, he will definitely give him that. A real odd guy but hey, at least he doesn't have to do all this work now.

One thing that he dislikes is dropping these bodies, he hates this part of it. Jake is not what he would call 'people friendly'. He looks down at the body of a guy Kim took care of last night. He was tempted to tell her to take him down here herself, but he knows she might screw something up. Jake is best handled delicately...

Dominic knocks on the door, hoping he is not around. He can hear someone speaking down there so he guesses he is shit out of luck on that count. "Come in," he hears faintly. Damn he hates going down there. He hefts the body over his shoulder and opens the door, descending down the darkened stairs.

He spots Jake sitting on the couch, staring blankly at him. "Hey Jake, here is another one," trying to break the ice. "Alright" he replies emotionlessly. Fuck, why here? I guess I should be pleased, but fuck is the guy creepy. I continue on down the stairs, Jake's eyes following me.

"How am I going to live today in order to create the tomorrow I'm committed to?" intones a man on a stereo.

Weird, it sounded like some tapes I had years ago. I glance at the walls as I head over to the freezer. Motivational posters and drawings of circles and symbols, this guy really needs a decorator.

"In essence, if we want to direct our lives, we must take control of our consistent actions. It's not what we do once in a while that shapes our lives, but what we do consistently" the stereo resounds.

I reach the fridge, open the lock and it is only has a little bit of food. Why he likes keeping it in here with the bodies is whoever's guess. All the bodies are gone though, at least he is quick and no bullshit about his skills. I skewer the body with a meat hook in the freezer and shut the door, turning to still find him staring at me.

"I hate having to disturb you, I can always leave them outside your door?" hoping to avoid this situation again. "It is no problem, I love the chance to talk with you," he replies still staring at me as I cross the distance to him. "Yeah, guess your right. Here is your money," handing him another envelope. "Is that that Robbins guy on the radio?" I ask trying to break the odd vibe. "Yes, he is quite helpful. He speaks to me," he replies with a devotion in his face. Fucking weird, no way around it. I start back toward the stairs wanting to leave.

"One reason so few of us achieve what we truly want is that we never direct our focus; we never concentrate our power. Most people dabble their way through life, never deciding to master anything in particular " the stereo resounds.

"Well, I guess I will see you later Jake," as I hurry up the stairs. "I will," he replies continuing his stare. I reach the top, open the door and shut it behind me. I can still hear the Robbins voice from the basement. Well you certainly got a winner there Dom, I think to myself. Cleaners are always odd, hell to be expected, but this one certainly takes the fucking cake.

I think I might start holding the bodies a bit longer, two at a time would mean less visiting time and I am all for that.
