Everything is crazy, I can't remember when it wasn't. I mean the vampire thing and all was weird, but I got over it quick. I thought I had everything all figured out, then just like a bomb, everything changed again. I mean hanging out with Charlie is great, but he doesn't understand anything. He means well, but he thinks he is doing right by the baby. No one ever heard of one of us being pregnant before. Does birth control even work on us, guess the answer is yes.

I can't wait for my little one, I been thinking about getting away from everything. Run away into the hills, no one will find me up there. I know its not that easy though. Shit is crazy everywhere and with that thug rolling the streets looking for us, trying to kill us for who knows why, we are in it together.

Dominic has tried to keep us under control, hide us, keep us safe. Kim is like a sister, I always look up to her, she always gives good advice and her and Dominic are like two heads of the same body, always catching what the other missed. Rosa seems to be gone a lot these days, recruiting for her gang, a real butch type. I once saw her try and suck a guy off, it was worse then a paraplegic opening a wine bottle. I guess fish can't learn to fly and all that jazz. Leo and Skeezy are still new and are usually off like vultures picking over a carcass. I have heard they have a new idea about a morgue, but that sounds risky to me. I figure Dom don't care much if they get killed cuz its two less mouths to feed and two less idiots that need taking care of. I hope this doesn't last much longer, I could use the break and help out more. I guess life's a bitch, you die and then you get pregnant.

I need a break, maybe sneak out tomorrow and see the town, I need a walk in the park or something.

Its amazing the kinds of places people will call home. I think to myself as i climb staircase after staircase. With all the places in the city i could go, i always end up back here eventually.

Its not Dominic. Hes overprotective in my eyes. Ive made my place, made my mark. I can take care of my own shit and whatever i cant handle i have my girls to help with.

Kim is alright, no matter how tough we get we all like to have a mother sometimes. Even if she does dress like a nun and scream the hail mary while taking it in the ass....

Skeezy was nice enough but i always kept that heebie jeebied fucker at arms length. I may be dead, but hes contagious.

Tolsoy was a loser. The kind of street trash some of the girls sell to. Cheap bathtub meth or coke cut with drywall and dish soap.

Ive always had some sort of bond with Misty. Probably just our similar ages and that need for something more than this we never seem to fulfill.

My first stop will be Mistys room, I never knock, ive walked in on her and Charlie a dozen times, or her and whoever was paying. I do the same now, pulling off my hood as i come inside unannounced.

'Misty girl where you at?'

 "In here," from the shower. You hear the shower shut off as a very nude pregnant woman steps out.

"Whats up Chica? I am fucking crawling the walls.Whats say we go out tonight?"

'Sounds like a fuckin plan.'

I say, plopping down on the corner of her bed and looking her over as she gets dressed.

'Has it kicked yet?'

I asks, almost cautiously. We were all shocked when the dead girl got pregnant, its going to be even more unnerving if the baby is actually alive...

 "Yeah, but I'm not telling Charlie. I don't think he could take everything like us, he just doesn't have it in him. I figure we will deal with it when it happens. Everyone is acting like this is pretty fucked up so," as she shrugs pulling on a punk rock mom shirt.

"You seen the two fuck ups lately?" indicating the two in the stable that are consistently getting into messes.

'Well they dont know any fuckin more than we do Misty-girl so, fuck em.'

I give Misty a big supportive smile. I always second guess Dominic in private, but even Misty knows hes the only reason im not one of the many fuckups who couldnt survive even here.

'Tolsoy was buggin me for smack a few nights back. Havent heard from him or Skeezy since.'

I look suspicious, we both know of their odd, usually stupid ideas...

'Maybe they finally went and got themselves fucked up somewhere.'

 "It would sure ease up the tension around here," with a weak smile. I sure know things would at least get easier on Dominic and Kim. They usually see to my blood and nourishment.

"Lets get outta here," as she puts on her ratty converse and a spray of perfume, that cheap new scent from Brittany Spears, Charlie's little gift.

She grabs her bag and keys while jotting a note to Charlie if he gets back. She hates when he gets all worried.

"Where to? I hear that Thorns is re-opening soon, maybe they have already," with an enthusiastic smile. "I love that girl that is always singing up there, she's hot," hoping Rosa will pick up on my lead.

'Yeah maybe if your into spandex and angst.'

I shoot back. Of course, get the spandex off her and slip her some uppers and she probably would be quite the sight.

I pop up off Mistys bed and move to peek out the door. If Dominic and Kim arent around we should be in the clear to go sneaking out the fire escape down the hall...

'Ok Misty girl, move quick.'

 "Right behind you," as she grabs her purse and quietly slips behind her Chica.

"Well no time like the present," in a hushed tone.

"I think they were arguing earlier, I could hear something. Maybe they just toned it down," in a whisper and a quiet laugh. Anyone who knew those two know they never keep their opinions quiet. Except about the cleaner Dominic hired awhile back. He was very clear about avoiding him. Only him and Kim were to speak to him, something about him being a bit unstable, but who isn't now. We do live in a bunker and live out eternity like Anne Frank.

Like bandits in the night, or maybe just rebellious teenagers we are out. Sneaking down a perilous rusted fire escape to the street below. Outside i flip my hood back up on my head. Gangster-eskimo style as we head off to our escapist destination.
