The recent finding of a headless body in a dumpster in the slums must have scared the little mortals into hiding. Not an easy prey in sight, and after killing Stevie, Reina doesn't feel like getting too fancy.

She wanders the streets of the slums, lurking in shadows, looking fruitless for a lone human to feed on, but they're either inside, or in groups, huddling for safety in corners and dark alleys that normally would have borne at least one piece of juicy fruit for Reina.

After a few hours, she sighs, and returns to her park, sitting in the shade of her tree before going to sleep in the earth below it.
