The Crime scene is taped off, awaiting detective Knox. Its not fresh, the body has already been removed and sent to the Coroners office for autopsy, just in case it wasnt the six .45 ACP slugs that killed Henry Mason.

The scene rests on a lonely stretch of pot-holed pavement near a filtration plant. Henrys fire engine red late 70's Oldsmobile has long scratches along the drivers side and apparently made impact with the steel leg of a small water tower.

Evidence markers show skidmarks up to the impact sight from two different cars. The olds windshield is cracked and there is a pool of blood next to the drivers door. Henry died on his feet, at least, but all reports say he never fired his weapon in self defense.

A chalk outline on the ground shows where Henrys contorted form bled out...

*Knox's car pulls up, his headlights planted on the grim scene.  He frowns to himself, wondering what could have led Henry to this kind of demise.  Knox pulls out a bottle of cheap vodka and pours it into his coffee mug.  Then he fumbles around looking for a cigarette, these cases make it disheartening to be a cop.  A plume of blue smoke funnels out through his nose, then he sips his coffee and walks up the scene.  He starts by poking around the car itself*

((I'm rolling perception + investigation, if I'm wrong on the attribute my Intel and wits are 3 as well as my perception, so its the same roll))

((I didn't assume a difficulty))

Six works. So you got One success.
----------------------------------------

Its clear enough to Knox that Masons car was run off the road. He sees no signs of bullet shells or a weapon left behind. The car, even after the sudden impact with the water towers steel leg isnt in such bad shape. Odds are Mason could have driven it away from the crash, assuming he hadnt been gunned down...

Sorry, i somehow overlooked this.
-----------------------------------

The interior of the car is impeccably clean. Henry took care of his antique ride. Theres no signs he smoked, ate or even had coffee inside the thing.

One or two of teh slugs that passed through Henrys body would be buried in the steel of the car, but they likely wont tell Knox anything he doesnt know. Besides, digging lead out of cars is a csi job. Knox has an office to check out...

*Knox glances around the car a moment then gets out of the car.  He tosses his cigarette butt and sips his flask one more time before climbing into his car and heading to Mason's office.*
