"Nature hath framed strange fellows in her time." ~ The Merchant of Venice

A letter will be hand delivered to the Estate of the Quiet Lake by a young man appearing just out of college age and wearing a finely tailored suit.  The envelope is fine linen parchment and the name on the outer envelope is in crisp handwriting.

The letter is very simply addressed simply to: Signore Giovanni

The letter inside matches the same fine linen parchment as the envelope and is in the same crisp handwriting.  It's quite clear to any who read the letter that great care was put in to make sure it followed all proper protocols and social norms of Kindred society, especially coming from one who is for the most part, removed from it all together.

The letter reads...

Signore Giovanni,

My sincerest apologies for the unexpected correspondence and at the abruptness of this letter.  I do apologize that I am unable to deliver this in person, however; my current business dealings keep me on an increasingly hectic schedule.  I have become aware that my current employer may not be utilizing my abilities to their fullest potential, and as such is the case, my services can be offered to other parties.  There is a great deal more that can be said face to face and it is my hope that we may continue this conversation thusly.

If you wish further correspondence or such a meeting, please send response by letter or messenger courier to the address enclosed enclosed.

I humbly await your response.

Shade

-----

It is quite clear that the writer of the letter is vaguely unfamiliar with the formalities of social protocol, but yet he seems to hold to more classic Italian social practices.  Learning use of Signore in lieu of a "Christian" name took time, but it seems to have sunk in.  Shade's ghoul will be present at the address card enclosed in the letter to receive a response, if any, and will relay any possible response to Shade.

(OOC: To those reading, please note that only elders or older ancillae (those such as Georgio/Alessio Giovanni, The Regent, Prince Carter, et cetera) are likely to know what an Assamite can do through witness, to the neonates of Sanfield, what shade is rumored to be able to do is known through just that, rumor...)

A few days afterward a letter arrives, being dropped at the mailbox by a man in a dark sedan. It is addressed to Shade, nothing more.

Shade,

I have received your request and feel it would be a compromising position to entertain your services under these circumstances. Should I have need of you or what you offer I shall make effort to contact you at that time.

                                     Goergio Giovanni

His Excellency,
The Most Illustrious and Most Reverend Monsignore Goergio Giovanni unico sangue Capo de Sanfield,
Childe of Francesco Giovanni,
Childe of Alphonso Giovanni,
Childe of Concetta Giovanni the confessor to Claudius Giovanni
