Entering the establishment.  David eventually finds one of the caretakers.  Nods toward the statue and asks politely "Who is C-C-Captain Redundant, and please t-t-tell me about all his adventures.  I have all night."  Sure, he stutters, but his expression is earnest.

David chose the wrong employee, this was one of the rare nights that zaine decided to go to the cigar shop after his nightly rounds of the city.

Zaine stares at David for a moment "g-g-get a life g-g-g junior." zaine says with a smirk on his face. "This is not a history class, It is a cigar shop..If you just want to ask stupid questions and not have a cigar, i would ask you to please leave."

The final bit about the place... The name. Well, there is a bronze statue dead center in the room of a colonial captain. And should you ask, one of hte old men will go on for literally an hour with a very reduntant tale of one Captain Reduntant and his redundant redunancy.

David eyes Zaine with a warm smile. "Well sir, I need you t-t-to understand t-t-that I mean t-t-this from t-t-the very bottom of my heart."  And David's polished and proper English accent shifts into West London gutter speak.  "You c-c-can bloody well piss off ya fucking t-t-tosser."  David offers a polite nod before heading toward the door.

Its a very bad idea to insult the sheriff, its also bad to turn your back after you do so. also it wasnt just an insult it was in insult in his domain.

And suddenly the rude man's hands are on him.  His head jerks painfully, but supernatural resilience versus supernatural strength, in this case resilience wins.  "Overly sensitive are we?" David says as he turns to face Zaine, ready for anything.

Zaine lets go of David Yelling "What the Fuck!" As he runs into the back room of the cigar shop being freightened of the small stuttering vampire...for now.

And David walks out of the Cigar shop...into the street...the very public street.

Zaine will watch out the doors trying to see what car david has and where he is going.

Zaine holds grudges.

On the very public street...very much in front of the Cigar shop...though many yards away...David dials a number on his phone.  He waits for an answer and then says, "I need t-t-to talk t-t-to Miss Moreau immediately."  He waits for a reply as he eyes the cigar shop.

As is to be expected David will be smokescreened by the receptionist...

'Im sorry Maam but Miss Moreau is currently on another line. Could i take a message?'

David should be able to picture the peppy blondes sneer easily...

He speaks calmly into the phone. "Ma'am?  Oh my dear friend...I t-t-think I may drain you.  So first...inform Miss Moreau t-t-that I have been attacked at C-C-Captian Redundants yaddyadda and t-t-that if she is t-t-to busy I shall happily offer a boon t-t-to Mr. Von Austice in exchange for my safety.  Or perhaps I c-c-can contact my sewer rat friends...or maybe t-t-the outlanders I've met... or my new C-C-Chess friend Mr. Sebastion."  And he hangs up.  Still on the very public street.
