Chris enters the restaurant and waits at the front for a server. When they arrived he said, "Is it possible to squeeze in one?
The food smells wonderful,"

Nikki spots Chris in the entryway of the restaurant, its door wide open to let the enticing smells out. She knows she's terribly underdressed just by looking at the place. They won't let her in, for sure.
Lacking any other idea of how to attract his attention, she throws a lime at him.

Chris turned after a lime was tossed and saw the fruit looter again. Twice maybe, but three times followed, not a accident. He let a chain with the symbol for water drop into his left hand and got ready for a fight. He walked with the slow direct flowing pace of a street fighter out towards the woman. He figured this one to be a nasty will workers like the kind he'd taken on with his mentor. Then he spoke with a English accent and said, "You seem a nice enough bird in an odd way.
I can't get a drink and now you want me to skip dinner as well.
I don't have any fruit to loot. Right?"

He'd only met two nice will workers in his life; his mentor and Master Toshi. The possible ones at the club sure didn't seem friendly. Including the fruit looter.

She smiles. "Oh, I'm done with looting fruit for now, just a sudden burst of inspiration that was."
"About you not getting a drink. Something you said spooked Orphen, but since you dropped Toshi's name, we wanted to get sure you didn't get hurt. It's not a nice city, and you cannot go around declaring what you are. We have a...suit problem, it makes us all a little paranoid, and some would not have just kicked you out of their bar but done so violently."
She looks him in the eye. "You can have dinner all you want, just wanted to make sure you were ok. I knew I couldn't get in there wearing this." She points out her ratty jeans and rude tshirt. "So go, have dinner, and meet me outside when you're done if you want to talk."

Her eyes gleam with suppressed anger."And please, don't call me 'bird,' I get enough of that patriarchal bullshit in my line of work."

Chris said,
"That's all right, my appetite is gone for the moment.
See I thought it might have been you outside of Master Toshi's.
Wasn't completely sure in that bar neither.
Now I am certain.

Want to explain why you've been following me around all day?
Sure hasn't been just since that bar alone.
I've dealt with a few suits myself and I'm sure you're not that.

I've dealt with more than a few gone off their beam too.
That is just as bad.
So it worries me a might when a loot the fruit keeps showing up ever place I do..."

"Whoa whoa whoa there boy, I'm not following you. Toshi's dojo must have been on the way back from the grocery store, I was singing my fruit song all the way back. I hang out at the Burn, they've got good drink specials and Orphen sometimes gives me free drinks. The only time I followed you was from the Burn to this place. I'm not off my rocker, I just like my booze, and sometimes I do silly shit to entertain myself. I'm SERIOUSLY not marauding all over town. You'd know."

You can't help but like her, she's just a girl who likes to have fun, and she's trying to take care of you. She's just kind of disarmingly charming. And isn't that Scandinavian accent just endearing?

Chris nodded with a slight smile and said,
"Well you could understand how a someone could feel that way.
Is there somewhere that you could get in that we might get a bite to eat? I think we need to talk some. I'm Chris,"

Nikki smiles, relieved this didn't turn into a fight. "I'm Nikki. Yeah, I can see how you might think that. Remember that coffee house we passed on the way here? Le Camping Noob or something like that? I'm sure they've got sandwiches or something for you, and I could use some coffee."

Chris nodded and said, "Sure. Let's do that then. Lead on,"
then he began to follow Nikki while not quite sure what to say.
