[David Cohen] ::and lurking through Sanfield Universities Library, is David:: [Beaumont] Beaumont didn't have much reason to wander into the university library...there were...well lots of reasons for her to feel that way at present, namely the staring problem the insects that came with her seemed to bring...she was masked, but not as a glamor girl...no...a homeless parasite herself it would seem...coin cup in hand...she begged change off of a few passers by...really she was just getting a feel for things and noting what faces showed up where...but no one needed to know that... [David Cohen] :and he exits having made his first pass, he'll certainly be back:: [Beaumont] Beaumont remained where she was...bothered by the apparant disdain the college crowd showed just her presence...but not bothered enough to do much more than move a hundred meters from where she was catching the stink eye...she clutched the cup with one hand and scratched intermitently at her left ass cheek muttering under her breath... [David Cohen] ::Pauses...on the steps...he could call Jenkins, but he feels like walking:: [Beaumont] A head inclined...a smirk, or something akin to it forming on her lips as she spied David on the steps...he was always so...terribly lovely for conversation...for a moment she pondered pricing swans and sending them to him...but she hadn't a clue as to where she'd send them at this point...besides, that would perhaps be a bit over the top wouldn't it? [David Cohen] ::he makes his way onto the street heading toward the main quad, and low and behold:: Miss Beaumont. ::smiles slightly:: [Beaumont] "David..." She nodded, the scratchy voice perhaps as familiar as the face..."Certainly seem to be getting around well enough..." she commented quietly as she glanced over the quad... [David Cohen] I am not t-t-the only one it appears. ::eyes the change cup:: [Beaumont] There were a couple of coins jingling around in the bottom...probably people that she'd approached who had figured a bit of change was worth getting her away from them..."Can't learn a place if you stay in..." She sounded almost defensive, but then...well it could have been his imagination...she scratched at her clothing some more [David Cohen] Down below...::he finishes for her:: No, I imagine not. [Beaumont] "Whole nother matter David..." She commented again quietly as her eyes moved back over the quad, and then came to rest on him..."Doing a bit of reading?" [David Cohen] Not yet, but exploring, yes. [David Cohen] How do you find your family in Sanfield, Miss Beaumont? As robust as Port Lussuria? [Beaumont] A nod, apparantly he hadn't been here long enough to be completely settled...or he was completely full of it...."Wonder how many other familiar faces are lurking about..." [Beaumont] Beau arched a brow...but stilled the agitation wrestling through her at the words..."They're quite well sir, I'll send along your...good will.." [David Cohen] Oh do not. Apparently me being t-t-the public face of my own family in t-t-this city does not sit well with t-t-the other t-t-two. ::free information, and he knows it...but one must give a little to get a little:: But if any of your own family play C-C-Chess. ::smiles slightly:: [Beaumont] "Would be rather pointless to send along an invitation without a less...random means of looking after a game David...wouldn't it?" Really she didn't know much about the family here...other than that they seemed to be having some troubles...then, it seemed the whole city was having troubles...seemed it was perhaps a problem everywhere...paranoia? hmmm...maybe...warranted..yes. [David Cohen] Others would say yes, others would say no, others would have one hunted for even hinting at such. ::shrugs slightly:: [David Cohen] Miss Beaumont. I don't fall into any of t-t-the three. [Beaumont] "Well would I be extending an invitation to play with others, or yourself David? I'm sure that...well if one wanted a game, either would...suffice...just a matter of preference and acceptance." Did she laugh? was that a laugh, or something else? Whatever it was, it was swallowed up by a grunt as she moved the cup to another hand and started scratching on the other side. [David Cohen] Simply myself, however, after I've met t-t-the current Royalty. Did t-t-they tell you he's insane? ::he asks absently:: Perhaps t-t-that will c-c-change. [Beaumont] "Of course...and...it's been mentioned...curious as to how he'll measure up honestly...insane is..quite the title to live up to in...our society." [David Cohen] C-c-compared to what were used t-t-to. I'm c-c-certain he'll be a S-S-Saint. ::chuckles:: [Beaumont] "Quite the leap to make...from psychopath to saint..." She shook her head a bit, but didn't say any more on the matter... "How long have you been waiting?" [David Cohen] I've only just arrived. It t-t-took weeks back in Port Lussuria. [Beaumont] A nod..."Busy busy...if you make time for new arrivals as they come in...they get the wrong impression...will personally be suprised if it's in under a month..." [David Cohen] ::raises an eyebrow:: Perhaps a wager t-t-then? [Beaumont] "What sort of a wager?" David Cohen] T-t-that we'll be introduced in t-t-two weeks or less. [Beaumont] Beaumont's face remained rather...neutral..."And we'd be wagering?" [David Cohen] An introduction. [Beaumont] Was he daft? Well perhaps..."Not quite what I ment...if it takes three weeks? Then what?" [David Cohen] T-t-then nothing. Less t-t-than two weeks and I'm introduced t-t-to your family. More than four and I introduce you t-t-to my own. [Beaumont] Beaumont thought that over for a few seconds...and then nodded..."Harmless enough wager..." she extended a hand...there were little larval creatures crawling over it..."Shall we shake on it then?" [David Cohen] ::he shifts vitae to his muscles...then takes Beaumont's hand...squeezing just enough to crush her pets...but not her hand:: Indeed. [Beaumont] Pets...what an endearing way to think of them...She withdrew her hand a moment later, flicking the little corpses off the surface...the ones that were halfway out, were invariably burrowing back in at the pressure...not the most wonderful feeling in the world [David Cohen] ::absently brushes his hand off on a nearby bush:: Do you have my number Miss Beaumont? [Beaumont] "I'm certain I don't anymore David...unless you've decided to keep a Virginia area code for some god forsaken reason." She watched him brush his hand off...and kept her reactions inward... [David Cohen] I have indeed. Such t-t-things are easy enough in t-t-this country. [Beaumont] "That they are...new cards made up?" David Cohen] T-t-that is what would be expected of me, yes. ::nods:: So no. Just t-t-the old c-c-cards. ::chuckles:: [Beaumont] "Naturally..." She shook her head a bit...every once in a while the blue bloods suprised her...just every once in a while... [David Cohen] Some are even bent at t-t-the corners. ::grins slightly:: [Beaumont] "Playing the part of Rebel without a cause then are we in our short time here...I'm sure your...family is adoreing that sort of thing..." she had to shake her head a bit...yeah every once in a while... [David Cohen] I've always had a c-c-cause Miss Beaumont. And Rebels...::he straightens his coat:: Don't wear t-t-tweed. ::smirks:: [Beaumont] "All shapes and sizes in my experience David..." Quite the whitty tongue he had tonight... [David Cohen] And t-t-to Miss Beaumont goes t-t-the match. ::bows slightly:: A pleasure as always. [Beaumont] She nodded..."Enjoy the rest of your evening..." [David Cohen] ::returns her nod and walks off, looking for a bathroom, he "really" needs to wash his hand:: [Beaumont] Beaumont would go her own way of course, lingering a bit longer on the university campus before turning her attentions...elsewhere. --Last edited by David on 2008-07-27 08:51:47 -- |

I make a call about a recent gentlemen spending time in my library and I have security clear out and shut down the library. I enter the building wearing an Irish white pinstripe suit and a white bowler. Two gentlemen follow me in blue pinstripe suits. I walk to the gentlemen “Excuse me sir I was just wondering if I could be at your services because you’re in my University. Sebastian is my name and you need to be careful were you sitting my friend.” I point to several cameras. “I install couple of heat tracking camera all around the university and if anything irregular come up. I seem to get a called.” I pull out a seat next to four large plants.

David looks up from the micofich he's being staring at, containing news paper articals concerning Sanfield going back for years and years. He adjusts his glasses, eyes the two gentlemen, then the cameras before finally looking over Sebastian. "Mr. Sebastian, how exactly does one own a University Library?" David's accent is British with a hint of something else. |

“Well it quite easy when you founded the university. I been in Sanfield for a while and this city was so uneducated. I just decided to revive the minds and I started a university. I just like to let my presence be seen so that you don’t do anything unwise on my ground. I know how you whanks like to take what not you’re.” The Irish accent comes out thick. “I do believe history support my point of view but I won’t hold you’re decent against you. If you don’t mind may I get your name because I’m guessing you’re new in town and you have not been recognized by our princes in court? Well heed my advice stranger you should not travel street alone because we are currently under siege. I know our sheriff well he does not take well to strangers and sabbat is just looking for easy prey on the street. I believe that put you between a rock and a hard places so be careful.”

David listens to Sebastion speak before replying in Lithuanian, complete with the appropriate stutters. "Dear Sir, just because one speaks with a British accent does not mean t-t-they are in fact British." And that will be the only reply David gives Sebastion to his mistaken idea as to David's ancestry. Then taking his glasses off to polish them he says in his usual British accented English. "A worthy endeavor, founding t-t-this University. I am David C-C-Cohen, had I known t-t-this was c-c-claimed Domain I would have followed proper protocol. T-t-thank you for your warning about the c-c-current state of Sanfield.” He smiles, putting his glasses back on. “But I am already well aware. A question Mr. Sebastion, do you happen t-t-to play C-c-chess?” |

"well first my apology for the mistake but trust me it hard not be brash of a nation who have taken everything from you. This not my domain as much as property of the warlocks. If you are challenging i will accept a match but excuse if i'm a little rusty it has been a while since i have played." i set the board up.

Watches Sebastion set up the board. "Many of my most c-c-challenging matches have been with t-t-those of your family." He smiles. |

If you guys are actually interested in seeing who wins this perhaps an Intelligence roll is in order? Normally it would be an extended roll, but for the sake of simplicity one would suffice. ------------------------------------------

Counting with his own Queen's Knight, he raises an eyebrow, he's already shared his name once. "Once again Mr. Sebastion, I am David C-C-Cohen. I've left Port Lussuria, which is suffering much t-t-the same issues as Sanfield, t-t-though further along." |

(ooc)did not see that you introduce yourself.) David first move allow Sebastian to go into a traditional Aron Nimzovich System. I slowly start to move my pieces to center to allow me to strike hard on his 7th and 8th row but still keeping my pieces open on the field. the open style allows me more freedom for counter attack but ultimately planning for a pin. David will discover the check and this will lead to the exchange but with 7th and 8th attack system leads to a easy pawn exchange. He should be caught off guard with pawn leading to his defeat. It hard for the upper class to take lower pieces as a serious treat. "hmmm well David the attack on Sanfield is not much to be worry about as long as you plan properly and never get caught off guard." I just slowly move my pawn upward to get them ready for the assault. "In my opinion all the casualty in the city were people who were not prepare for example not a single person has fallen from my house. My leader made his orders and we follow them with respect that a leader deserve. You must know your allies strength and weakness to create a proper plan and the Regent uses us all properly." Sebastion is not focusing on david while he talks because he in deep thought about his moves on the board planning for seven moves ahead.

David smiles as Sebastion expertly sets him up. But ignoring the board briefly, he offers the Tremere a slight grin before saying, "Regent Von Auspice appears t-t-to be quite formidable." |

Ignoring all convention David slides a bishop in place to be taken by Sebastion's attacking pawn, David isn't playing to win, he's playing to make the game last longer. He adjusts his glasses and then says, "Miss Moreau is pleased t-t-to have more of us in t-t-the city. And I am pleased t-t-that Miss Moreau and t-t-the Regent have such a good working relationship." He offers a slight smile. --Last edited by David on 2008-08-14 22:29:56 -- |

"Well i think we all know that are clan have a strong working relationship beacuse the kings always need there royal mage." he pauses "so what do you think of giving your loyalty to a lower clan in sanfield?" He puts his finger by his temple and rotates in a circle making the child signal for crazy.

Smirks slightly before replying, "Why Mr. Sebastion my loyalty is t-t-to the C-C-Camarilla, if t-t-they see fit t-t-to allow our c-c-current Prince t-t-to hold sway here I shall do what I must t-t-to assist." Absently adjusts his glasses. "However, if our esteemed elders say he is t-t-to go, I shall assist as well." |
