A call comes through, directly to Drexl. His minions know not to waste his time over trivialities. Hennrick is neither eloquent nor intelligent by any stretch of the imagination, but one might go so gar as to call him succinct.

"We be 'avin oos a problem Mistah Boss-Man. Agwe was actin crazy. E ded naou. What you won us do mon?"

Drexl does not mind at all, he deplores the use of the telephone, but knows it is necessary. Still, he is not one for idle banter.

"Bring him to me, quickly, but carefully."

Nearly an hour passes before the two Haitians show up with the body, parking outside the bay-door and waiting to be let through.

Both men are obviously crestfallen over the loss of Agwe, but perhaps even more than this, they look frightened.

Drexl does nothing to assuage their fears, at this point he does not see any reason to. He does not know who fucked up, but he knows someone did. He will ask the two for every little detail about the situation, anything that could provide some insight to what led to Agwe's demise.

The two spill their guts, neither making any attempt at falsehood. Unfortunately, they do not know much. Neither of them being extremely intelligent, after all -this was the forte of the man with the shattered skull- they can give only a general descrïption of the car, that it was black and expensive. Their descrïption of the man is not much better: a white-man of average build, in a suit, that 'they all look the same to me mentality works both ways. The man pulled up, got out and offered them an insulting amount of money to incinerate a known Italian Mafia location, the Puttanesca, nevermind the insult of assuming that these men were at his beck and call.

They tell Drexl that Agwe told them to cease hostilities with the man, even though he wandered directly onto their turf being exceptionally disrespectful, because he had a plan. Though he never had the opportunity to tell them what that plan was.

When he returned, he gave Hennrick something belonging to the man, they all laughed.

This community is peculiar in its beliefs, when someone begins acting against their nature, it is because they are possessed or at the least under the influence of bad mojo.

When Agwe started talking about getting inebriated and doing drugs with the other two. Because he had spent much of his life telling the other two that this was something that was not done in this line of work, they thought they should bring him to Drexl for a 'talk'. That was when he started trying to kill them.

"I see..."

Drexl takes a moment to consider the situation, staring at each of the men for a long awkward moment with his mismatched eyes.

"Tell me Hennrick... do you still have this item?"

Hennrick makes that face one makes when they have suddenly realized they have forgotten some very important detail. He begins frantically rifling through his own pockets, eventually producing a small, plastic baggie of the sort used for the storage of small quantities of drugs.

Though it appears empty at first glance, holding it up to the light, you can see a single human hair.

It is regrettable that Agwe met his demise during this little machination, had he not, I might have promoted him just now. I do not know exactly what he was up to or why, but one thing I do know is: he has left me with the means to find out.

Turning now to each of the men, I attempt to get their minds off of the loss of their friend. I have no tongue for eulogizing, nor for boosting moral. Misdirection, however, I am somewhat familiar with.

"Thank you Hennrick."

"Thank you Azacca."

"Thank you gentlemen for your vigilance and duty, I shall see to it that dear Agwe is spared no expense in his funerary rites. He will find his way into the promised land with little difficulty. You will be sent all of the pertinent details should you wish to pay your respects. That will be all this evening gentlemen, you may go."

I wait until they have almost passed through the door before adding "Oh, and Azacca? There is currently a gap in my chain of command. You shall take Agwe's place until you perish, or until I find someone better."

As soon as they are gone, I have my servants take Agwe to my chamber. There is yet much to do this night.
