Posted 19/06/2008 12:34:08 AM | | This is a table compiled from various sourcebooks of weapons and damages they inflict. If your chosen method of hurting people does not appear here you need to PM me with a descrïption of it and i will add it to the table.
----------------------------------------------------
BLUNT WEAPONS:
Note: all blunt weapons deal bashing damage unless you target the head, which means damage to vampires is halved and rounded down before soak. Mortals and Ghouls do not get this luxury, as they need internal organs. Lethal damage is not halved by anyone.
Minimum strength: if you do not meet the minimum strength to weild a weapon you cannot effectively use it as a weapon in combat.
-Club (Baseball bat, Sap, Pipe) Strength+ 2 Damage. Min str:1
-Brass knuckles. Strength+1 damage. (Brass knuckles are considered a melee weapon, but are rolled with BRAWL as opposed to melee for obvious reasons.) Min str: 1
-Improvised club (Barstool, table leg, highball glass) Strength+1 damage. Min str:1
EDGED WEAPONS:
Edged weapons do LETHAL damage. Mortals and mages can not soak lethal damage unless they are wearing armor. Vampires and ghouls can, but in some cases (such as swords) Vampires do not take half damage as they would from gunshots.
-Small knife (Switchblade, butterfly knife) Strength damage.
Note: A small knife lowers the difficulty of attack by one.
Min str:1
-Large knife (Bowie, k-bar) Strength+1 damage.Min str: 1
-Sword (Katana, broadsword, machete) Strength +2 damage.
Min strength:2
Note: carrying a sword around is about as smart as carrying a big neon 'arrest me im a freak' sign. Swords are very hard to conceal...
-Axe (Fireaxe, splitter, battleaxe) Strength +3 damage.
Min str: 2.
Note: Same as sword.
(Many more to come, check back later.)
