From the Banshee, Deirdre guides her bike through the slums and into the area of the Devil's Playground.  She begins searching around for Slater, the ostensible head of this warren of cast-offs and societal rejects.

Slater not hard to find you just follow the music of Fugazi blaring from a gutted apartment that was made into a Studio. He chiseling multiple layer of red and orange marble.  He in his zone as he creating a new project in memory of a lost leader.

Deirdre knocks on the outside of Slater's door before taking a step inside.  "Nice play ye got 'ere.  Ye wanted t' see me?"  She looks about the little apartment.

he put down his tool looks up at D, "Hey i plan a clan meeting at the Museum. one part meet and great  the new one. one part to celebrate our new elder Arturo." He doesn't try to hide his disgust look while he mention Arturo. "Sorry i could not just leave that message on your door."    

"I understand...Masquerade an' all that.  Speakin' o' meetin's an' events, I'm hostin' a costume ball on Halloween.  It'll be at the Palace Theatre...music, refreshments, th' whole like.  I figger we seem t' only get t'gether when there's trouble.  This should be a good chance t' blow off some steam."

"Sound good" he just seem busy in his art. "i think i should be able to come."  

"Good," she says without any real enthusiasm like it meant much to her.  "An' when is this clan meetin'?"

Slater stops what he is doing. he walk over to  desk and write something down on a note card. He give her a date and a time on a card. "I hope that feel in any question." He smile at her "sorry for not being super friendly. i've just been gophering for our elder all night and  i'm just trying to relax with my art work as i play the good boy for a bit in the city."

"Tha's fine.  I have 'nough o' me own things t' do fer the night.  Been one long hell o' a night.  Well, hope t' see y' fer Halloween.  If tha's all, guess I'll be goin'."

If that's everything, Deirdre turns without further goodbye and heads out of the settlement project and roars away into the city night.

Slater continued to work on his pieces for the night. He put the shape stones in circular mold upright giving it the shape as a burst of flames and then he take copper shaving and filled the base mold. He grab a blow torch in melt  the shaving slowly making a base to hold stone up right. once he has about 2 foot radius circle diameter and it about two inch thick base. He remove the mold and it leave a perfect copper circular base. Slater than attaches old  fabric slip that he dip in copper and fabricated to spiral around the stone flame. He uses three 36 inch strips on three different section to create an idea of a copper cyclone around the fire.

Slater rolls 7 dice to crafting art 3,6,6,8,5, 2,4 (3 successes)
