one part of having a park as your domain is your going to see kids during the day, and stoners during the night. This means dirty diapers in trash cans and fritos bags all over the park. One other thing this means is Sean, maybe you wont see him daily but i guarantee youll see him weekly, He makes his rounds threw the parks, cleaning this, and fixing that, meditating and smoking. Hes a night person here bumming weed, and a day person walking and napping in the grass. |

Reina eyes the new kid, the one who comes around so often. She, of course, can't see him during the day, but she watches him at night. When she sees him fixing things, tidying things, and doing nothing more offensive than smoking pot, she smiles, and decides to leave him alone. He's helping, after all. |

Just before dark a large moving truck pulls up to what is know by the locals as Rape Street Park. The truck is being driven by a man who obviously has no business being in this area. But Mr. Jenkins is not your typical scholar, he is the Ultimate Teacher's Assistant. ((One part Giles from Buffy, One part Alfred from Batman.)) His master, one David Cohen has given him the descrïption of a particular young woman, Reina. If any of the homeless investigate the moving van, Mr. Jenkins simply gives out her descrïption and offers a cash reward if she is directed to the truck. --Last edited by David on 2008-07-19 03:30:42 -- |

Eventually, one of the homeless kids finds her skulking around a dark corner of the park. "Miss, ummm, miss Reina? There's a moving truck here with a guy asking for you? He aid he'd give me money if I found you." Reina turns around, staring at the kid. "Oh what the fuck? Moving truck? Good job finding me, Mikey." She smiles at the kid. "I'm usually pretty hard to find. Now let's go see what this guy with a moving truck? Seriously? Let's go see what the fuck he wants from me, and get you your money." The kid grins, having seen Reina throw down with assholes trying to hurt the homeless of the park before. He knows she'll get him his money. |

As Reina nears the truck Jenkins opens up the back, inside is about a thousand dollars worth of clothing, blankets, and non perishable food. Jenkins eyes Reina calmly and says, "With Mr. Cohen's compliments." |

Reina leans in to inspect the cargo. "Mister Cohen? Who the hell? Oh, right, the professor! I told him not to do this, but it is awful nice of him. You'll have to thank him for me. Do you mind hanging out while we get this distributed?" She smiles at the driver, then turns around and bellows at the homeless crowd gathering. "Alright, me hearties, seems someone bought us a present! Everyone line up real nice, children first, we've got food, blankets and clothes coming your way! Nice and orderly, people, or I'll put you back in line myself." The homeless people, who are growing fond of their new, as it seems, knight in shining armor, or tiny japanese girl who kicks bad guys' asses, whatever, obey, and line up, waiting for the handouts. "Oh, umm...dude," she addressed the driver," can you help me give these out? nad don't forget to pay little Mikey for his info like you said." She points at the grinning kid who found her earlier. "But seriously," she smiles again," thank you, and thank Mr. Cohen. This is a great help." Reina and Mr. Jenkins will then start giving out the supplies. A fight almost breaks out at the end of the line, but a good stare from Reina is enough to quell that. |

And Jenkins does hand little Mikey twenty dollars, and then grudgingly assist with handing out David's "presents." After it's all said and done Jenkins offers Reina a business card, no name just a number, then backs up the moving truck and departs. Not one for idle chatter this Jenkins. |

Reina waves as Jenkins departs. "Bye! Thank you! Say hi to David for me!" She turns back to the not quite happy, but slightly less depressed crowd of homeless people slowly dispersing back to their hidey holes, grins, and goes and resumes her vigil over the park, sitting under her favorite tree, a gnarled old oak that casts plenty of shadows. |
