There are many Paths to the One, Daniels just happens to be a bit different.  Belonging to the Sons of Mithras, a militaristic "guardian" order of the Celestial Chorus, Daniel is essentially a trained soldier of the One.  Not nearly as zealous as a crusader, but still very much the militant.

He is often seen in his black combat boots, black fatigues, and a fitted maroon t-shirt and infrequently with a black jacket of some kind.  He is wanted by the Technocracy (having killed two of their Agents) and is currently trying to find out how to save one of the only people he knows in this city.
