Pelayo has been rather obsessive with the Fetus lately... keeping it warm, making sure noone runs off with it. Its gotten bigger... already swelled up to the size of a turkey.

it hasnt developed at all, its still clearly a fetus, just huge...

Right now it lays on a metal exam table in the little corner of Ahjar industries Pelayo managed to talk Rahshid into letting him commandeer.

'Yo Rahshid, get your pimp ass down here i wanna show you something!'

Rushing down the stairs from his office, trying not to trip, he makes his way over to the small table.

"Christ that thing is huge," Rah'shid comments uncomfortably.  He really didn't like the idea of keeping it alive, mostly because it came out of him, but understands a little why Pelayo keeps it around since it was so bizzar.

"Why is it still fetus like, and how is it growing with out eating?"

'Thats what i want to show you.' pelayo waggles his eyebrows and does something odd with his tongue.

'Put on the med-glove-o-tron 9000 please.' he tells Rahshid, turning away to slip on his Ether goggles and pick up his weird little tricorder thing.

'This thing is a perversion of life. It seems to grow out of neglect. In fact id bet my left nut if we fed it, it would shrink...'

Before putting on the glove, he asks, "I think I got some twinkies in the fridge, we can test that theory."

He puts the glove on, a little sticky inside. "Uh...why is your glove sticky inside?"

'God man, you wanna talk perversion of life twinkies are the perfect example...' Pelayo cleverly avoids explaining why his glove is sticky.

He will let Rahshid figure it out, as it contricts around his hand, warms up, vibrates a little and starts beeping...

'Now, when you manipulate life your basically doing the exact inverse of manipulating matter. Your not playing with or looking for a static, seemingly immutable pattern, your looking for something ever evolving and that is never the same...'

Pelayo explains calmly, his tricorder beeping over the Fetus... he motions for Rahshid to try the glove.

Rah'shid holds the glove up examining it, then waves it over the fetus, being able to detect the life pattern eminating from it.

Not quite a life pattern, but he can feel how perverted of a life pattern it is. This thing is about as alive as a zombie, its all wrong, abckwards. If it were matter, it would be something theoritical that exists in five dimensions.

'So i dont know what we are dealing with... But i think we should let it grow, and just keep it locked away. See what happens.. you game?'

"Hmmm..." Pelayo has a point, he doesn't know what he's dealing with, but doesn't exactly think letting it grow is too much of a good idea either.

"I think we should try the twinkie theory first, see if neglect is the trigger mechanism for its growth.  Maybe it would grow faster with attention?"

'Wouldnt make sense. But i dont see why we cant try... how about we hook it up to a nutrient IV rather than a twinkie though... for controls sake.'

Pelayo grins, his goggles spinning oddly as he pokes at the Fetus.

"Works for me, but probably shouldn't use too much, I don't think we want kill it yet."

Rah'shid scrounges around the factory for a plastic bag, a small plastic tube, and some water.

"I think we can get a makeshift IV out of these..."

'Are you trying to Kill it!? Do you have any idea how not Sterile that would be?'

He throws his hands in the air dramtically and points at his medical kit on the table behind Rahshid.

'Check in there i should still have some sterile ones. As fucked up as half this city is i havent been putting too many people on life support lately...'

"I'm an engeniere! Not a doctor!" Rah'shid mumbles to Pelayo as he retrieves the medical kit.

"In any case, I am pretty sure business is going to pick up with all these murders and increased police activity.  When I get more business, I can probably get a few more warehouses.  We can make one of them a lab I am sure.  Hey, you know anything about sewing or weaving?"

'Im a Surgeon! not a seamstress!' Pelayo mocks Rahshids tone.

Pelayo will snatch a sterile packaged IV setup out of the medical kid. He is running kind of low on supplies...

Its a little different to start an IV on an underveloped fetus... pelayo makes a few stabs, but never seems to find a vein...He chuckles nervously at Rahshid, probably looking like a noob and tries again...

Surgeons are alwasy better under stress. Pelayo starts the IV with some saline in the Fetus crooked leg. The thing twitches a few times on the table, it even looked like it tried to open its underdeveloped eyes...

"Oh God!  What is that smell?"

Rah'shid covers his face watching in awe as the fetus moves, scrounging around the room for some Lysol or something.

"Do....do you think it knows we are here?"

He puts on  some gloves from the medical kit.

'My god that is Rank...' Pelayo says covering his nose with his forearm. The smell spreads fast, permeating the area...

Both pelayo and Rahshid would notice a sudden feeling of light headedness...

The Fetus twitches again, those eyes fluttering, black orbs hidden underenathe. White veins on its flesh bulge as the smell gets noticably worse...

Rah'shid watches pelayo go down, but falling victim to the smell, he slumps over on the ground unable to keep conscious anymore.

As Both Mages hit the Ground and the IV is yanked out of the Fetus's leg it takes on a very different life. It gives up the lifeless turkey act.

The black orbs flutter open, the white viens pulse and the Fetus opens its mouth to reveal row after row of tiny, razor sharp fangs. It lets loose a shrill gutteral howl and leaps off the table.

It will sniff at both mages in turn, memorizing their scents before it drops to all fours and heads for the nearest exit.

When Pelayo and Rahshid begin to come around they will be alone. The fetus is gone and if the door wouldnt open it chewed a hole straight through whatever material it had to and escaped.

Hours may have passed, or maybe it was minutes.  The rank stinch still sticks in his mind as Rah'shid pulls himself off the floor.  Feeling his forhead to soothe the massive headache.  He looks around to gather his surroundings, his vision slowly regaining.  He notices pelayo over on the ground and rushes to check on him.

"Pelayo? Are you ok?" he shakes his shoulder to see if he can jar him awake.
