He seems about as dead as he can get so i reach down with my free hand and take him by the collar. I force the big man to his feat with only minimal strain. [Potence:1]

I lean him against the bar and fail to notice that he is still bleeding. Dead men dont bleed so I assume Devin has already expired and my feeding on his still warm corpse is a moot point. I sink my fangs into Devins neck with the feeling of white hot nails digging into his unprotected flesh...

The Giovanni bite is anything but pleasurable. Devin is roused from his near death unconsciousness with a primal scream of intense pain. He lashes back, throwing a blind elbow at Antonio.

I am taken by suprise when Devin springs to life and elbows me in the face. I stumble back startled; there is no Severo beetween me and him and a frenzied ghoul, especially of Devins size can be fearsome.

I do the first thing that comes to mind, jerking the slide back on the pistol I shoot Devin before he can get any closer to me.

The shot echoes through the VIP lounge but none of hte patrons seem to have heard a thing through the thick glass of the window.

The shot hits Devin low on his stomach and the big man crumples. Its not the bullet that kills him, but the bloodloss from being stabbed and fed from. Devins reaction was just that, a knee-jerk reaction of his dying mind to the intense pain of Antonios bite.

Devin staggers one step and falls flat at Antionios feet. This time he will neither be breathing nor bleeding.

Despite the fact that he is busy untying Kira, Severo is not caught off guard when Devin suddenly burst to life across the room and starts pummeling Antonio. He moved to assist his cousin, but before he even takes a step, the situation is over. He suppresses a laugh and continues his task of removing the unconscious ghoul.

I watch the huge man drop to the floor, my aim adjusting for his entire fall. Ive killed him; but it was in self defense, i had no choice. I look from Devin to Alessio and then to Severo before dropping the smoking pistol to the floor.

Daydreaming as he is, Alessio is completely caught off guard by the outburst. He leaps back, throwing himself to the ground before he even realizes what is going on.

Straightening back up, he brushes off his suit. Antonio has stumbled and failed several times this evening and Alessio's patience is wearing thin. His eyes begin to smolder with rage as he stares down his cousin. His fists clenched, he fights back the urge to beat the miserable gnomo into the ground.
