A hour after sundown, an plain looking man in a worn brown suit and battered fedora enters the store. Water drips from the brim of his hat, testament to the late summer rain.

If no one is about, he will approach the counter and ring the bell for service.

snakes and scorpions, and overcome
the power of the enemy; and nothing
shall harm you.  [Luke 10:19]

Henk walks out of the reading corner as the bell is ringed at the counter. As he turns around the corner of a bookcase he says, "Hello there, May I help you?" while he continues to walk to the counter.
Finally behind the counter he stands in front of the man and says, "Raining good today isn't it?"

Chris entered the store in search of some new material to read. He liked all sorts of topics and the place seemed like a cool place to look.

Chris was a bit wet but he didn't mind the rain. He wasn't made of sugar after all. He entered just in time to hear the man at the counter comment about the rain.

In response Chris said, "I like it, but it can't rain all the time.."

"I guess" Henk says a little uninterested "I can stay inside all day and read. I got enough books around, heh" The laugh Henk made was a little weird. Henk then turns his attention back to the man that came in first.

Chris started to wander the store. He headed to the sports section and looked for books on hiking, climbing, and camping. Then he hit the Occult/New age section to see if anything interesting was there.

Solomon pulls a wrinkled piece of paper from his pocket. The paper contains a scribbled list of sorts and several dark stains. He hands it to Henk.

Directorium Inquisitorum, Nicolas Eymerich, 1578
De signatura rerum, Jacob Böhme, 1635
Malleus daemonum, Alexandro Albertinus, 1620
Enchiridion Leonis Papae, 1740

*She slips into the store, her hands runs through her shocking red hair, her dark make up glistens with the added wet of rain water, she unbuttons her floor length rain coat and upnods to Henk* Hey Henk..*Her voice is as smooth and wonderful as what people hear on the radio show, she grins and shoulders out of the coat revealing a nice pair of black leather pants, a nice low cut black top with long bell sleeves, her high heeled boots click lightly as she walks further into the store, headed right for her favorite section, the Scifi/fantasy area*

Henk receives the list from Solomon. "That is a few old books there sir." Henk says with a concerned look. He then sees Lenor Valdina walk into the store and greeting him nicely as always. "Hey Lenor" He half-shouts back as he turns back to Solomon. "I'll need to look into my older section.." He looks a bit to the ceiling thinking if he has these old books. He then proceeds to walk to the back of the store into the Staff Area.

When Henk comes back he has a serious look on his face. "These books are extremely rare." Henk says to Solomon. "I definitely don't have these in my store. I might be able to track one down, but it will take time and a lot of research to track such a book down. I'm afraid you're out of luck for now sir." Henk looks at Solomon. "Anything else I can do for you?"

Solomon seems confused for a moment, shaking his head and mumbling to himself.

"I don't think so... thank you... I think I shall browse your selection."

He walks off, wandering the store, glancing about. Every so often, he will pull a book from the shelve and look it over before returning it to its appointed place.

Having overheard the man's order Chris took mental note of the titles to check out what they were about. Then he made his way up to the desk and spoke in his distinctive English accent. He said, "Am I to understand that you take special and large orders sir?

I'd be quite interested in making significant purchases if that's the case."

*She glances at Solomon as they pass each other as she moves up to the counter, her smile is crooked, seductive, as is everything else about her, the way she walks, the look in her eyes, even clearing her throat as she walks up to the counter next to Chris, will sound seductive, in her hands she's holding onto "Vampire Lore" One of a few books released that gives detailed accounts of vampire encounters. She grins to Chris and looks over the counter, her voice is soft yet as always smooth, and of course, seductive* Did you make any coffee today, Henk?

Henk listens to Chris as he asks about significant orders. He then sees Lenor walking up to the desk. The daily question of Coffee, he thinks. "Yes I did. It's in the back. You know the way." Henk says as he gives a wink to Lenor. Henk then turns back to Chris and thinks about the question. He can probably use the money. "Depends what you are looking for." He says slowly. "Care to tell me, I might be able to find it." Henk smiles at Chris.

Chris smiled back at the lady and then grinned and spoke to the book store owner in an easy paced English accent,
"In non-fiction I'd be interested in any of the diaries and personal letters of Samuel Clemmens, Edgar Allan Poe, or Marcus Aurelius to start. Any of the collections from Kurt Saxon, Kabalistic writings translated from Hebrew, The Book of Five Rings by Myamoto Mashashi, the works of Lao Tzu and Sun Tzu, and the Tao of Jeet Kun Do by Bruce Lee.

For fiction I'm interested in Machiavelli's The Prince, The complete set of Dante's Divine Comedy, Heinlein's Juvenile books and his collections including Lazarus Long. Piers Anthony's Incarnations of Immortality, Laura K. Hamilton's Anita Blake series, and Ann Rice's works both erotic and otherwise.

That should be good to start..."

After browsing the store aimlessly for a while, Solomon will approach Henk.

"Excuse me, but do you have any books on meditation?"

Chris looked back at the dark man in the dark suit and said, "
Excuse me sir but I'm being served now. I waited for you to finish you can wait for me to. Do you make a habit of rudeness?

You certainly seemed to with Amanda on the street earlier. You stick out like a sore thumb,"

Solomon looks to the man as if he didnt notice him before, seeming confused by the angry outburst.

"I'm... sorry... I didn't mean to offend..."

He spins on his heels and head towards the health section.

Turning back to the store owner Chris said,
"I saw that man insult a friend of mine earlier. Then to interrupt us while I had waited. How rude. Please go on sir,"
