Posted 28/01/2009 06:43:22 PM | | The blue crab mud flats were once a great place for both fishing and crabbing. Its rare to see more than a few boats out there these days. The factories on the waters edge have choked out most of the life. Hangmans island is visible out in the lake, but everyone knows about the deadly currents out that far.
The beaches are more silt and mud than sand, but can be pleasant on dry days or nights. The beaches stretch around almost the entire lake, from the industrial district to the residential northern areas.
In the summer bonfires dot the waters edge and all manner of people can be found here. In the winter theres are less fires and less parties but the dark expanses near the water are a great hunting ground for those who prefer to avoid the crowded clubs.
